Huddersfield Town have tonight confirmed the sacking of first team head coach Jan Siewert following his side’s 2-1 defeat to Fulham, dropping to 20th in the Championship table.
It meant the Terriers remain winless this season and picked up just one win in 19 games under Siewert, leaving the board no choice but to axe the former Borussia Dortmund II boss especially after Tuesday’s home Carabao Cup defeat by League One Lincoln City.
He took over in January after David Wagner made way for the exit, but couldn’t prevent them from dropping out of the Premier League.

CLUB STATEMENT:
“Huddersfield Town has this evening terminated the contract of Head Coach Jan Siewert with immediate effect.

“No further comment will be made this evening.”
It’s claimed by John Percy from the Telegraph that first-team coach Mark Hudson is the man to take over in the next few days.
