How much your club spent on agent fees from 2020 to 2021

In this article, we take a look at how much your club from the Premier League, EFL and Non League spent on agent fees from 2020 to 2021.

Chelsea were the highest spending club in the top flight, paying over £35.2m to agents between the 1st of February 2020 and the beginning of February 2021.

Manchester City (£30.2m), Manchester United (£29.8m) and Liverpool (£21.7m) were those to follow as the next biggest spenders.

West Brom were the lowest spenders in top flight English football after paying out £4.2m.

In the Championship, the amount spent on agents’ fees was down by more than £9m compared to the previous 12 months.

Second-tier clubs spent £40.8m in total, with Norwich (£6.8m) and Bournemouth (£5.8m) spending the most.

In League One and League Two, the figure spent on agents was slightly down on the previous 12 months.

Whilst the total spent by non-league clubs was £271,838, Notts County topped it for that level spending 57,958.

PREMIER LEAGUE

2) Manchester City – the amount that they spent on agent fees according to the Football Association stands at £30,174,615 for 2020-2021

2) Bournemouth – the amount that they spent on agent fees according to the Football Association stands at £5,653,160

In 2019-20, the total amount that Bournemouth spent on agent fees is £9,512,577.

3) Stoke City – the amount that they spent on agent fees according to the Football Association stands at £3,082,295

For  2019-20, Stoke City spent a total of £5.68m in agent fees, making it the highest figure out of all 24 clubs in the Championship at that time.

4) Reading – the amount that they spent on agent fees according to the Football Association stands at £2,688,492

For 2019-20, the total amount that Reading spent on agent fees is £1.17m. 

5) Brentford – the amount that they spent on agent fees according to the Football Association stands at £2,537,207
