Hartlepool player linked with eight clubs, yes you read that right, Pools’ Gime Toure is a target of clubs from the EFL and Scottish Premiership.
That is according to the player’s representatives, with there being plenty of speculation after manager Dave Challinor criticised him for getting three match suspension for violent conduct at Oxford United.
The French forward returned to the squad from his match ban to help his side win 2-0 against Stockport County at Victoria Park on Saturday.
It is reported that Toure remains in Challinor’s plans, though has been ‘targeted by’ Tranmere Rovers, Blackpool, Northampton, Bristol Rovers, St Johnstone, Motherwell, Exeter City and Carlisle United.
A tweet from Gime Toure's agent. Certainly interest in the Frenchman but a few of the named clubs linked have played down the 'targeted by' claim already. Seems to be trying to force a move. Would be a big miss for #Pools. https://t.co/qHJusTdbD8

Despite being linked, Carlisle and St Johnstone have already played down reports that they after him.
Hartlepool Mail also state that they believe Toure is in favour of a moving to the EFL over staying at the National League club with his representatives trying to move him on.
The forward is Hartlepool’s top scorer for the current campaign, netting 12 times in 32 appearances.
After reading that the Hartlepool player has been linked with eight clubs, fans took to give their reaction…
On his day the most skillful striker we've had in my life time not shocked he's getting interest, would like to think we would keep him for a bit though. Cracks me up he has an agent though ??

I’d sell tbh , hasn’t scored from open play since October the 5th which for a forward player is awful

He’s only worth keeping if his heart is in it. He spent most of Saturday sulking and if he wants to go then let it happen….

If he wants out then get rid regardless how good he can be , his mind can't be a ?% on the job.

He’s got the potential to play at a higher level however would be bad business if we didn’t have replacements lined-up. At the end of day, it’s profit on him so club will be keen but he’s a key player for us especially if we are looking to compete towards the end of the season.
