Harry Redknapp reveals this week that he is keen to turn his attention away from being a manager and instead wants to buy an English club.
He’s one of the game’s most colourful characters, but now he’s on a mission to become a football club owner, which wouldn’t come as a surprise to some.

In recent years he’s been crowned ‘King of the Jungle’ in I’m A Celebrity, featured on many TV shows and even had his own, his latest being Harry’s Heroes.
His next ambition is to complete the circle of being a player, manager and owner within his time of the beautiful game.
Outlining his ambition to return to the game in a new role, Redknapp told That Peter Crouch podcast: “When we come out of this lockdown, I would like to buy a football club.
“That is my ambition. Lower level. League One, League Two, maybe even National League, but a club with some potential. I would love that – go on Saturday’s and get on the coach.”
Redknapp jokingly ruled out appointing Crouch as his manager.
He continued: “I don’t think I could afford Crouchy’s wages but maybe he could come in as manager!”
“I’m not spending loads of dough. We’re working on a low budget. You need a manager who knows the league. An expert in that division. So that rules Crouchy out.”
It comes weeks after it was revealed that Dennis Bergkamp, Henrik Larsson, Phillip Cocu, Dirk Kuyt and Ronald Koeman are part of a consortium trying to buy a club in England.
