Harry Kane reveals what Jude Bellingham said to him before the former Tottenham player scored his penalty for Bayern against Real Madrid.
The Champions League semi-final first leg finished 2-2, Vinicius Junior opened the scoring before Leroy Sane and Harry Kane netted twice in the space of four second-half minutes. Vinicius equalised with late penalty.
Kane then thought he had won it for Bayern with a confident and well taken penalty, before his England teammate Jude Bellingham tried to wind Kane up before he was going to take the spot kick.

I did wonder last night if this moment was what Bellingham mentioned when speaking to Kane. pic.twitter.com/rogyP6EBDk https://t.co/YBVWPIvECD

Kane has since revealed the details of his conversation with Jude Bellingham, who tried his best to put Kane off in the moments leading up to the penalty, only for referee Clement Turpin to push the Real Madrid midfielder away.
Speaking to TNT Sports just after the final whistle, Kane insisted he wasn’t sure as to what Bellingham had said to him as he was ‘blocking everything out’ to make sure he made no mistake from 12 yards.
But, in a further interview, after Kane had interacted with Bellingham, Kane revealed: ‘In the moment I didn’t know what he said. I spoke to him afterwards and he said he told me, “I know you’re going to go left”, he was trying to tell the ‘keeper’.
‘On the pitch I didn’t know [what he said]. I knew he was there, but I just kind of didn’t know what he said.
‘I saw the ‘keeper go a bit early and I was able to put it away. Obviously the penalty was nice for me.’

After a disappointing Bundesliga campaign, with Leverkusen stopping Bayern from winning the title, Kane says Bayern have a great chance of still having some success: ‘It’s amazing. We’re playing Real Madrid in the semi-final of the Champions League,’ Kane added.
‘This is the experience I came here for and to have this opportunity is something I am really excited about.
‘It’s 0-0. There’s one game to take you to Wembley. We’ve got a great opportunity here.
“It’s a little disappointing, once we got 2-1 ahead we had two or three good chances especially from set plays but this is a Champions League semi-final, we expected a tough game.
“Real Madrid are one of the best teams in Europe and they can punish you with one or two actions like they did today so of course we are disappointed we didn’t get the win but it’s all to play for next week.
“We started first 10 or 15 minutes on the front foot, we had a couple of chances there but then their goal came against the run of play.
“They built up the momentum and then we struggled to play our game but second half we came out with a higher intensity and deserved to get the two goals. We couldn’t get the third but all to play for.
“We will dust ourselves down, tough but we look forward to next week.”
Bellingham – who is Real Madrid’s top scorer this season – was subbed off with 15 minutes left on the clock, and Carlo Ancelotti revealed that the midfielder had been struggling with cramp.
Asked why Bellingham and Kroos were taken off, Carlo responded: ‘Bellingham was tired, he had cramps and I changed and put only more energy because Kroos played a fantastic game.
‘It was just to put more energy in midfield.’
At his post-match press conference, Ancelotti added he was confident Bellingham would be back to ‘100 per cent’ for the second leg.
‘I think so, he is going to recover to full fitness.
‘He has had an injury that has affected him. He will be back very soon and by Wednesday he will be 100 per cent.’
Twitter users reacted as Harry Kane reveals what Jude Bellingham said to him before scoring a penalty for Bayern against Real Madrid…
@ad_sharps: Bellinghams only game involvement before being subbed.
@TerrysLad: Kane needs to have a word with Bellingham at the next training camp
@andymoors14: Went down in my estimation, Jude getting a bit big for his boots, lack of respect to his and our England captain Sir Harry
@Valfonic: Only thing Bellingham tried all night. Useless he was.
@OChuter: Normally a big fan of everything he does, on and off the pitch but I don’t like this from Bellingham. There needs to be some respect for your international team mates, let alone the captain. 👎🏻
@ItsGaryC: Jude showing his true colours here. Glad Harry put it away!
@ebrimaj01: What’s Jude doing here. This man have to relax we’ve seen younger English players tearing it up before and before.
@tonywbrown: The great @HKane made @BellinghamJude look like a right mug there, it takes a bit more than that to get in the head of our greatest ever @England striker!
@TheJoelSmith93: Why is everyone crying about this? If i was a madrid fan i’d be happy with Jude trying to put off Kane as well. Whatever gives you an edge in the competition. Not like they’re going to have some big spat and upset the england team ffs, so many crybabies about.
@SeamusMcafee: Bellingham with the mind games 😂😂
@LowerBlock: Big fan, BUT not sure about this from @BellinghamJude. That’s your @England captain…
@Jon_Foulkes_: Surprised at the reaction to this. All part of the game. Love a bit of shit housing. When you’re playing for your club, your loyalties are there.
@GodsmarkJonny: How’s Bellingham getting pelters for this 😂 If we’d had more like this with his mentality we’d of probably won something in the last 50 years. Win at all costs mentality.
@callumshaaw: People already turning on Jude Bellingham then for no reason? People love building someone up just to hate and tear them down😂 weirdos, these two will probably laugh about this at England camp in June and you lot are crying over it
@93_price: Think this is a really bad look for Bellingham. He’s your national team captain, should be shown more respect. #BayernRealMadrid
