Frome Town’s classy act towards an elderly supporter – who shockingly has an item STOLEN inside their stadium – has earned them praise.
398 spectators were in attendance for the for their FA Cup Preliminary Round fixture against Paulton Rovers, with Frome advancing with a 3-1 win.
However, on Saturday, the Southern League South Division outfit revealed how they were disappointed to hear a theft took place for the FA Cup tie.
The club knew the gentleman who had a wallet taken from him was coming to the next home game against Slimbridge, which Frome won 2-0, taking them to 3rd in the league table.
So, with that in mind, Frome worked something out, knowing it could have been unlikely that the supporter would get his item back.
They tweeted, along with a photo: “Last week we were disappointed to report a season ticket holder had his wallet stolen within the stadium. Today, Jon Davies presented Dan with a brand new wallet and a collection from our on players, management & directors.”
