The 2024/25 season is just around the corner, and with that in mind, we look to FourFourTwo who predicts the Premier League table.
We turn our attention to the top tier, and as always, it causes plenty of reaction and debates on social media up until the opening fixtures.
With the 2023/24 campaign now over, we now question who could challenge Manchester City for the title.
It will come as no surprise that Pep Guardiola’s side are already massive odds-on favourites to claim their 7th title in eight years and an unprecedented fifth title in a row.
Last season’s Arsenal were really the only challengers for the title, but just fell short come the final day.
The Gunners will get up and go again, and are expected to challenge again.
The battle for the top European places and to avoid the drop is set up to potentially be just as unexpectedly exciting as last season.

Have a look at who they thought would finish from 20th to 1st below, some will surprise, others not so…
20) Southampton
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 20th place (relegated) for the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
24/25 FFT VERDICT: Though his tactical smarts improved over last season, Martin must compete with a squad that looks underpowered.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 3rd place for the 2023/24 Championship campaign – instead they were 4th and beat Leeds in the playoff final.
23/24 FFT VERDICT: Russell Martin wants his Saints side to model his keep-ball outfits at MK Dons and Swansea, but with greater efficiency in both boxes. He has the coaching nous and quality to deliver, and technical ability in the squad here, but he hasn’t won promotion as a manager – yet…
19) Nottingham Forest
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 19th place (relegated) for the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
24/25 FFT VERDICT: Giving up leads, fluking survival, raising ticket prices 24%… all is not well. At least VAR’s pro Luton bias is over.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 17th place for the 2023/24 Premier League campaign – and that is where they ended up.
23/24 FFT VERDICT: While Cooper did unite a huge squad, away displays were alarming. It’s hard to see progress until things after calmer
18) Leicester
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 18th place (relegated) for the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
24/25 FFT VERDICT: Cooper has inherited a slow defence, wafer thin midfield and likely points deduction, but apart from that…
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 1st place for the 2023/24 Championship campaign – and that is indeed where they ended up finishing.
23/24 FFT VERDICT: Even after releasing for free players who’d cost them a total of £100m to buy, Leicester’s squad is packed with quality. Others will follow Youri Tielemans out of the door but they are recruiting ambitiously, and if Enzo Maresca has learned anything from Pep Guardiola, glory awaits.
17) Ipswich
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Ipswich Town to finish in 17th place for the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
24/25 FFT VERDICT: Town can survive. Their chief weapon is surprise – surprise and no fears – and stability, McKenna and Hutchinson, too.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 5th place for the 2023/24 Championship campaign – instead they were 2nd.
23/24 FFT VERDICT: This is an exciting time to be an Ipswich fan. A top half finish would be satisfactory, but if League One stars Conor Chaplin, Leif Davis and new signing Jack Taylor can step up as expected, Kieran McKenna’s ambitious Tractor Boys could take the league by storm…
16) Everton
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Everton to finish in 16th place (relegated) for the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
24/25 FFT VERDICT: A lot depends on Jarrad Branthwaithe staying here, and last term’s second lower scorers learning to convert chances.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 14th place for the 2023/24 Premier League campaign – instead they were 15th.
23/24 FFT VERDICT: Fans are low, the goal tally lower, and – whisper it – they give up more goals and chances under Dyche. Troubling.
15) Brentford
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Brentford to finish in 15th place for the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
24/25 FFT VERDICT: Brentford sat eighth for XG difference last term, but have issues at set-pieces, in goal, and possibly with attacking exits.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 14th place for the 2023/24 Premier League campaign – instead they were 16th.
23/24 FFT VERDICT: Will they miss Toney? No more than they missed Eriksen, or Griffin Park. But gravity pulls, especially without Raya.
