Leeds have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Everton misfit Oumar Niasse on loan until the end of the season, although the player has doubts about the move.

Carlo Ancelotti has denied reports that Everton are hoping to sign former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can in the January transfer window.

Aston Villa are keen on signing Rio Ave striker Mehdi Taremi.

Wolves are also in talks over a deal with Olympiakos winger Daniel Podence. Not yet clear if it’ll be a loan or a permanent move but Wolves are confident of bringing him in before the deadline.

Bristol City have reportedly renewed their interest in Burnley striker Nahki Wells. The Robins were linked with a move for Wells in the summer, but he ended up moving on loan to QPR instead.

Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City are understood to be interested in signing Crystal Palace striker Connor Wickham this month, according to the Telegraph. Manager Roy Hodgson said: “When it comes to Connor, it’s really a question about him. I think for his future, he needs to get a run of games. I might not be able to guarantee him that, but I must emphasise he trains well, he is very professional, and if he stays, that is no problem. I have nothing against him staying, but it is a discussion the club will need to have with him about, if it is better for him to be the first name on the team sheet somewhere else, which I can’t guarantee him.”
