Fans slam Solskjaer as truth behind Marcus Rashford’s injury emerges

Manchester United fans have taken to slam manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the truth behind Marcus Rashford’s injury emerges.

The Red Devils booked a place in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup by defeating Wolves with a 1-0 win, however it wasn’t all good news for them.

The club’s best player of the season Marcus Rashford, who has been recovering from an injury, was substituted on after the hour mark, before having to hobble off 16 minutes later.

He was forced off with a back injury when he appeared to be involved in a collision with Matt Doherty. Solskjaer admitted after the game that his decision to play Rashford had “backfired”, but there was more to the injury than it first seemed.

The forward admitted, back in August, that when he was younger he used to have back problems quite often and that he had to carry a bone-healing ultrasound machine which he still uses.

It’s been revealed by Manchester Evening News reporter Samuel Luckhurst that Rashford was using the machine recently to help with his injury and even had it with him before the match against Wolves, which gave a sign that he still wasn’t completely fit to play.

After finding out this information, plenty of Manchester United fans let rip on Twitter, the majoirty questioning why Solskjaer brought him on in the first place…

@bosswhitta: Yet again, poor management!

@MiraculousPogba: SO WHY DID HE BRING HIM ON

@Utd_Liam_: And Ole risked him in a lousy cup game when we’re playing the eventual champions on Sunday I cba

@_utdjosh: So Ole brought him on knowing very well he’s carrying a knock. He will do anything to save his job, ffs.

@ccoachee: He didn’t have to bring him on .

@Bennsevern7: Clearly he declared himself fit!!!
