Fans shocked as manager part ways with Curzon Ashton

Fans were left shocked on Monday evening as manager Mark Bradshaw part ways with National League North club Curzon Ashton.

He was appointed back in November 2018, but prior to then, had been with the club for over a decade as head coach, being a vital part of the junior, youth and first-team set up.

He’s guided the Nash to two 18th place finishes, picking up 34 points from 33 games in the 2019/20 season and 49 points from 42 games come the end of the the 2018/19 season.

Chairman Wayne Salkeld said in the club statement: “It is with great regret that Curzon Ashton FC have released Mark Bradshaw from his position as First Team Manager.

“The Club would like to go on record and thank Mark for his efforts whilst in his role as the First Team Manager

“Mark however will remain at the Club at his primary role as Football Development Manager.

“As soon as a new appointment is made the club will make an announcement.”

They finished the season above Gloucester City, Kettering Town, Blyth Spartans and Bradford (Park Avenue), and look set to play against them again next season, no teams will be relegated as Steps 3-7 was made null and void with no team going up.

As mentioned, fans were left rather shocked as the manager part ways with Curzon Ashton…
