Fans were refused and ‘sent back to Chesterfield’ after ugly scenes at Grimsby train station prior to the National League game.
Supporters arrived at Grimsby Town Railway Station and were turned away by the British Transport Police with the incident said to have taken place on at around 12pm on Saturday.
The lads arrived in anticipation of getting to get to the game after making the 80 mile journey from Derbyshire across to North East Lincolnshire.

A video has been published onto social media with the views racking up fast, and in it, you can see over 20 police officers blocking Spireites fans from gaining access to exit the station.
Tryone Fuller, 43, claims the fans at the station were sent back on a train back to Derbyshire – even though they had paid tickets to attend the game.
He said: “We got off the train and before we knew it, there was a strip of police officers blocking anyone from passing. There was police dogs there too.
“All we wanted to do was pass to watch our football club. The officers said we couldn’t pass and they refused to tell us why.
“We were only trying to trying to watch our football team at the end of the day.”
He adds to Grimsby Live: “We travel all over the country to watch our team. I’ve supported Chesterfield for 30 plus years and I’ve never not been allowed to leave a train station.
“Just because we wear masks and wear hoodies, does that make us criminals?
“I’d paid good money to watch my team play today. What hurts most is being denied that opportunity because I absolutely love Chesterfield.”
A similar confrontation took place back in October when a man claimed British Transport Police forced Notts County fans onto a wrong train at Grimsby Town Station.

Twitter users reacted with fans refused and ‘sent back to Chesterfield’ after ugly scenes at Grimsby train station…
@MattWWoolwich: I’ve never been to a Grimsby Chesterfield game at either ground that hasn’t been dreadfully policed. Humberside and Derbyshire Police among the most aggressive and antiquated at policing football in the whole country.
@salbre81: Humberside are awful. Notts fans had a lot of trouble there, father and son just wanting to see a game forced on trains to Sheffield
@JB413561: @FairCop_ these people cant keep on getting away with this.

@Richard90640750: Got to say it wankers them police wen our fans got tickets that makes me angry!! an takes the piss!! just coz we top of League the fans shud have justice for this not the police bend there own law!!
@SilviRich: State of them acting like football fans are from the middle ages. Would’ve been interesting to see their reaction if they got a few Insulate Britain hi-viz jackets out.
@Kmariealvey: At it again I hate Chesterfield but no need
@StuWallis: Humberside Police hahaha, again and again

@fk_keegs: Go catch nonces you dogs
@thatchersend: Police are more worried about football fans on a Saturday then what they are any other person for the other 6days of the week, absolute joke.
