Fans criticise the ‘ridiculously high’ tickets prices revealed for Sheffield Wed v Sheffield Utd, with more anger aimed at Dejphon Chansiri.
It’s classified as a Category A fixture—the highest price bracket, for Sheffield Wednesday fans, the cheapest adult ticket for non-members is £45 on the Kop, with prices rising to £50 on the North Stand and Grandstand, and £54 for the South Stand.
Sheffield United supporters are likely to pay £45 as well, matching the Kop price, since they’re expected to occupy the upper tier of the Leppings Lane end.
Between £45-54 for a ticket for home supporters, is it any wonder Wednesday fans have had enough of Dejphon Chansiri?
25 years outside the top flight, still getting average attendances above 25,000 and he’s charging that sort of money for a ticket to the derby. Mad. https://t.co/4Yqg4baIzT

As mentioned, fans criticise the ‘ridiculously high’ tickets prices revealed for Sheffield Wed v Sheffield Utd…
@adamtmilner: £54 to go to a ground where they serve 4 people in the 15 minute half time break. The pitch looks like a beach and the fan zone is a piece of AstroTurf in the car park, viva chansiri
@Foxystoat19:
My ticket for the derby in the Kop next month is £44.
And we think that’s too much!
@Gino_Artisan: £54?! 🤯🤯🤯
@keiron1972: Scandalous! Even for 1 adult, add travel, parking (in some cases) a burger etc & your looking at £70+ Take a partner & child & you’ll not get much change back from £200. Yes you can do it cheaper, try to find free parking, not eating etc, but it’s a day out for many. 😮💨
@nattasswfc: Fifty four English pounds to sit in the south stand 🤯
@rkhargreaves: This will be my last ever Steel City Derby in person, please let Chansiri know his ticket prices and general awful running of the club are the reason why I can no longer warrant going to matches. First time in over 20 years…
@andymcelwaine: Those prices are ridiculously high…
@WesSwfc: Chansiri: Pay top prices, get top players. Also Chansiri: spends fuck all in every transfer window for the past 7 years
@WLegend1978: £50 on north when games on sky. Suppose we have to pay for all them Jan signings.
@bazapeps: Prices are utterly disgusting
@WednesdayRetro: The inept 1 is Pricing the next generation of supporter out. Ridiculous pricing. £65 for a Dad & lad on the Grandstand 🙈
@liamkay1986: Absolutely scandalous.
@blueowl68: This is the tip of the iceberg, cost of living is barrelling down at us, NI, Living wage, utilities cost going through the roof, converting your business to green net zero by 2030. This is coming straight at the punters and this is out of the hands of the owners! Double whammy 🥲
@CharlieCassid20: Pay top prices get top players. Clearly not
@Sneldog55: £54 on the South Stand. Clear and obvious price gouging for anyone without a season ticket. Standard sharp practice from the joker in charge. #chansiriout Brighton-Palace is a comparable game – £33 a ticket
@owlsfan4eva: Wanker once again ripping the fans off sooner this cunt fucks off the better
@alfiestudd7: Fucking disgusting prices
@Molloyowls: Nice prices Chansiri, you lunatic!!
@gorners: Why are you letting season ticket holders buy tickets? Absolutely crazy
@SwfcGurny: Remember the fanbase turned on the protest group because we made 2 signings in January 🤣 we deserve everything we get.
@t_peters32: I cannot go to the Derby, but if I could, I don’t think I could morally bring myself to pay these prices. I don’t blame people who do buy them, but people’s blind loyalty can only be stretched so far – and mine has reached that limit.
@zak_SWFC: Hope no one who shouted abuse at people handing out leaflets is complaining about prices #swfc
@TimRobertson96: between £45-£54 a ticket is an absolute disgrace
@lewisjordan98:
£1 booking Fee
£1 to have the ticket posted out
@KIE10: This is disgusting from that criminal chansiri again, just get him out of the club, cheapest ticket is £45 🤦🏻♂️
@_ae19_: I personally won’t be attending due to this pricing structure. Cannot support a regime that prices like that. £35 for me to sit on the Kop and that’s with a £10 discount. Honestly outrageous. Love the club, hate how it’s run.
@jdnthe8th: Absolute disgrace them, still you get some defending him aswell get the clown out.
@SportingNest: Anyone who is a fan of a club outside the Premier League who sees their club charge almost £50 for a match ticket should mentally stick their fingers up at them – and come support @officialpvfc instead. You know it makes sense.
@joelgardiner__: Just really sad isn’t it. Yet he still can’t do no wrong in some people’s eyes.
