Fans boost fundraiser for 7 year old Isla Caton who ‘may not make Christmas’ with the devastating news confirmed on Monday.
Supporters, including some top footballers, have shown their support to Isla and her family after doctors informed them that she potentially has weeks to live.
In a long battle since she was just two, Isla has been battled stage four Neuroblastoma, which is a rare form of cancer that primarily affects young children and babies.
So overwhelmed with all the love & support for our beautiful princess 🙏 this photo is from 8pm tonight, she’s just singing & playing with her toys x pic.twitter.com/4llN9xhtUw

Isla has been having chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, MIBG therapy, two stem cell transplants, bone marrow being removed, brain surgery and a 12-hour operation to remove her main tumour.
In 2018, her parents were told she had three months to live, so they created a donation page to take her to Barcelona for treatment.
West Ham United have been by their side and supported her throughout her long battle, with the likes of Mark Noble and Robert Snodgrass visiting her.
After two years in Spain, the pandemic forced the family to return to England, where they’ve searched for the proper trial.
Fast forward to Monday the 13th of December and Isla’s mother Nicola revealed in a Facebook live that the family were told the tragic news on their daughter’s fight against the disease.
Posted by Nicola Caton on Monday, 13 December 2021
In her video posted to Facebook (above), Nicola said that Isla’s chemotherapy isn’t working, and her cancer has spread.
“Isla had an MRI scan last week and they called me, they said to wait because the doctor wanted to see me but my doctor’s on holiday.
“So I went in the room, and I knew what was coming, really. They basically said it looks like the cancer has spread, which means the chemo isn’t working.
She adds: “It wasn’t something that I was that shocked at, to be honest, because it’s been a year since the last MRI scan.”
“They said it was a progression, and they were going to have a meeting on Thursday and get back to me, but I didn’t hear anything,” Nicola continued in tears.
“This morning, they called me, and they’ve said that Isla’s bone marrow is failing, and we have to stop chemo.
“Basically, she’s got weeks, maybe shorter; she might not see Christmas. I can’t physically tell you the pain.”

Isla’s family, huge West Ham United fans in Stratford, east London, have now switched the focus of their Just Giving page from fundraising for medical costs to giving her as many memories as possible this month.
As of this writing, a staggering £43,000 of the £15,000 target has been raised, £1,000 of which was contributed by ex-Premier League player Snodgrass.
Under his donation, he wrote: “Gutted! Emotional seeing this. Sending love princess.”
West Ham starlet Conor Coventry has also been spotted contributing £250 among over 2000 other donators.
