Fans are left loving what non league club Marine have done for their upcoming FA Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur next month.
It was back in November that the nation was left loving an extraordinary draw in Marine being drawn at home to Jose Mourinho’s side
There were some thoughts that the Northern Premier League Division One North West could have to play their fixture at Liverpool or Tranmere, however you can forget all about that because it’s coming home.
Excitement heavily builds as we approach closer to 10th of January 2021, with the tie set for broadcast on BBC.
Ready for that special game, Marine are now selling something that tends to be a very controversial buy on matchdays and cup ties and that is the half-and-half scarf.
However for some reason, it feels right that the club are doing this. Not only will this continue to raise much needed cash for them, but it’s also a brilliant piece of souvenir for that occasion.
Take a look at it for yourself below – and you can purchase by clicking HERE…

Marine are also offering Tottenham season ticket holders free entry in the 2021/22 season to create a lasting bond between the two sides.
Admission prices for the game is £10 for Adults and £6 for Concessions, to be allocated to priority groups and Marine fans attending most game
The club statement said: A world-record is about to be broken. Marine FC, based in Liverpool, in the 8th tier of English football are to face Tottenham Hotspur, top of the Premier League, in the biggest ever gap between two clubs in the Emirates FA Cup.
Since the draw was announced, Marine has been inundated by groups of Spurs fans coming to the Marine Travel Arena to take photographs of our proud stadium that their heroes will be playing at.
The tie will create a real bond between the football clubs and both sets of fans.
It has been an incredibly tough year for everybody in football. For Marine fans, we have had a once in a lifetime Emirates FA Cup run but sadly the ties against Colchester Utd, Chester, and Havant & Waterlooville had to be played behind closed doors. This is devastating for the supporters of Marine and has also severely affected the revenues we would have otherwise received.
Likewise, Tottenham Hotspur fans have not been able to attend their games and have missed their team’s rise to top of the Premier League. Spurs fans also are not allowed to attend the Emirates FA Cup match due to the pandemic.
As a result of this, Marine Football Club announce that they will allow entry next season free of charge to one Marine league game to all Spurs season ticket holders. This will allow Spurs fans to have the chance to attend the ground having missed out this time and will strengthen that bond between the clubs.
Marine Chairman Paul Leary said: “This is the most magical cup tie in the history of the FA Cup attracting interest from football fans around the world. For Marine to be playing Tottenham Hotspur at home and to be shown live on BBC is the dream of all dreams.
For our fans, players, staff and sponsors, for our neighbours, the residents of Crosby and Sefton it will be a wonderful and fantastic occasion and one that we will remember for years.”

A letter was sent to neighbours who back on to Marine’s stadium desperate to watch the FA Cup tie.
It reads: “Dear Sir/Madam, as you may be aware, Marine play Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday the 10th of January, which means you’ll have a great vantage point from your house.
“This horrible, expletive terrible year has been tough on us all, and I hope you’re doing it fine. Like many people, I am missing people, I am missing normal life, and nothing more so than missing the football. I’m living in Liverpool, but a regular, natch going Spurs fan, and would give anything to see my team in the flesh.
“Here’s what I have in mind: I can give you £50, plus match a donation to the club and a charity of your choice, bring you a box of beer and bottle of wine, run errands for you, anything – if you would permit me to watch the match from your house.
“I will take COVID tests beforehand, and wear a mask whilst walking through your property if you so desire. Basically, I will do anything for a glimpse of the game, should you be willing to accommodate me.
“I hope I haven’t been too intrusive, and that we can all get back to normal soon. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and all that. If you’re interested in this proposal, please let me know. Regards, Tom.”
What can you say to that ay?! Imagine getting that through the letterbox.

Works on 2 levels. The occasion and the black & gold 125th anniversary colours. Never been a fan of half and half scars but for this one given the occasion I’ll make an exception

This is the only time it’s acceptable. Non-League side v Premier League side, they may never play each other again, so this is a good memento.
