FA Trophy Quarter Final Draw in full

The FA Trophy Quarter Final Draw has been completed following the fifth round ties which were played out over the weekend.

Seven ties were played out on Saturday afternoon, one postponed, and it didn’t fail to disappoint as it also produced a few upsets.

Darlington knocked out league above Wealdstone, winning 4-1. An own goal broke the deadlock on the 3rd minute, putting the Quakers in the lead before Jarrett Rivers doubled the scoreline 10 minutes later.

Emmanuel got one back for the Stones through a spot kick just before half time however that was as good as it got for the away side.

Luke Charman hit a superb strike in the 63rd minute, to put Darlo comfortably ahead with the score 3-1, before Erico Sousa sealed the victory and a place in the next round on the 90th minute.

Another cup upset saw Hornchurch of the Isthmian League Premier Division play out and beat Maidstone United from the National League South.

The thrilling encounter finished 5-4 to the hosts, with the score 2-2 by half time.

Sam Higgins put the side who was a league below in front by the 13th minute, before a shot deflecting off Hornchurch’s Jordan Clark had Maidstone level almost immediately.

Maidstone then got themselves ahead for the first time in the game, George Porter volleying home, however Ronnie Winn was there to then equalise for the Isthmian League side minutes before half time.

The goals certainly didn’t stop there, Sam Higgins again put Hornchurch in front on the 58th minute, though a minute later George Porter got Maidstone’s third of the game.

Joe Ellui of Maidstone scored an own goal, making it 4-3 by the 65th minute, though again Hornchurch couldn’t hold onto the lead, a ball coming in from the right, tucked home by Scott Rendell under 10 minutes later.

There was a winner however and it swayed in the way of Hornchurch, Liam Nash cheekily lobbing the keeper on the 90th minute to send his side through. 5-4 the final score.
