There were astonishingly twenty-four upsets in the FA Cup First Qualifying Round, and most of them were settled by a penalty shootout.
There are now just two teams from tier 10 of the English football pyramid that remain in the competition following surprise wins this week.
Saltash United of the South West Peninsula League Premier Division West knocked out Cirencester Town, who play two levels above, with a 3-1 win.
Ben Holter, Sam Farrant and Reece Thomson sent the Cornish semi-professional club into the second qualifying round for the first time since 1991. Special mention to Holter who’s goal came after a long two year return from a horrifying injury.

Another team from the same level of as Saltash to cause an upset was Hellenic League Division One East outfit Risborough Rangers.
Marcus Wyllie opened the scoring against Cobham after 15 minutes, and despite pressure being put on by the Combined Counties League Premier Division side, Wyllie then doubled Risborough’s lead early in the second half and then Ash Yearwood made it 3-0 by the 53rd minute. Debattista got a late consolation for Cobham.
Morning Rangers fans!
Some of your heroes from another historic night in only our 49th year. Everyone involved in the club deserve praise not just those on the pitch, that’s why. ???#WEARERISBOROUGH pic.twitter.com/58M5IucOYk

Hashtag United also deserve a mention, with the Essex Senior League causing an upset against tier above Soham Town Rangers on a game which was streamed live by the BBC.
Declan Rogers put Soham in front after 35 minutes with a free kick from 20 yards out, however Hashtag kept fighting, and Jesse Lassen hit home with five minutes remaining of normal time.
It went to a shootout, which Hashtag ended up winning 4-2, the final spot kick can be viewed below along with the celebrations.
