The FA Cup was back in action and this time it was the Preliminary Round which sees more upsets, big crowds and bizarre scorelines.
With a total of 729 clubs entering the competition this season, 348 of them will be taking to the pitch at the first stage with 174 ties scheduled in the extra preliminary round.
And with another 136 clubs entering at the preliminary round stage, we’ll have 155 ties taking place on Saturday 21 August.
Of course, both winning and losing clubs will benefit from the competition prize fund which was released last week, with those progressing from the EPR picking up £1125 and those in the PR collecting £1444. Losing clubs will get £375 and £481 respectively in each round.

The highest scoring result of the Preliminary Round came at Squires Gate (Level 9) who played out a thrilling contest, winning 6–4 against new phoenix club Macclesfield (Level 9) in front of 738 fans.
It took just three minutes for Dwyer to smash the visitors, Macclesfield, ahead, with the Silkmen then going down to 10 men moments after for denying Boyd a clear run on goal.
On the 13th minute, Kieran Feeney brought Gate level, finishing from close range after a great ball from the right.
Squires Gate skipper Josh Westwood then put the hosts in front, heading emphatically past the goalkeeper, making it 2-1.
Just before half time, a screamer brought Macclesfield level, Dwyer there again to put the ball in the back of the net.
Adams tapped the visitors back in front on the 50th minute, 3-2 Macclesfield by this point, then Dean Ing was there to quickly make it 3-3, finishing superbly into the top corner after showing brilliant strength to break in on goal.
On the 62nd minute, Ing latched onto a loose ball to hammer Squires Gate in front, then James Boyd made it 5-3 with still 20 minutes, plus injury time to be added on.
An own goal on the 73rd minute put Macclesfield back in with a shout, then Jack Iley volleyed into the top corner from the edge of the box to extend Gate’s two goal lead. 6-4.
Macclesfield then went down to nine men on the 88th minute, with no more goals scored in the remaining minutes.

There was a surprise in another tie with Sherwood Colliery knocking out Sheffield FC live on the BBC Red Button.
Around 500 fans attended the game, the Northern Premier League Division One East outfit lost 2-1 against a Northern Counties East League Premier Division side who even had some goals disallowed.
Lewis Belgrave opened the scoring, put the visitors ahead on the 23rd minute, before Nesham levelled it on the 30th. Will Norcross however was on hand to put Sherwood ahead and it ended up being the match winner, sending them through.
Look how much it means to them!!!! 😍
