SPENNYMOOR STATEMENT:
Graeme Lee has significantly bolstered his attacking options with the signing of experienced forward Frank Nouble on a deal until the end of the season.
The 34-year-old front man was a free agent after negotiating his release from Gateshead and Moors boss Lee has wasted no time agreeing a deal to bring him to The Brewery Field.
Nouble was on the books at Chelsea in his youth before turning professional with West Ham United in 2009 where he spent three years.
A series of loan spells with the likes of West Brom, Swindon Town, Charlton Athletic and Gillingham followed as Nouble enhanced his senior experience before making a permanent switch to Wolves in 2012.
The powerful striker also wore the colours of Ipswich Town and Coventry City, before he tasted life abroad with a stint in the Chinese League.
Nouble returned to England to gain further EFL experience with Gillingham, Southend United, Newport County, Colchester United and Plymouth Argyle.
More recently, he spent two seasons with Yeovil Town where he smashed in 11 goals to help The Glovers land the National League South title in 2023/24.
A former England youth international, Nouble signed a deal with Gateshead last March and he’s hit the net three times for the National League outfit this term.
“Frank is vastly experienced and will bring a different dimension to our forward line,” said boss Lee.
“He’s got so much knowhow of his kind of level and above, so we’re delighted to be able to add a player of his calibre to our squad.
“We’ve been keen to strengthen right across the pitch and Frank’s arrival certainly provides us with another option up front, so we’re excited to work with him.”
Nouble has been handed squad number 22 and will be in contention for his Moors debut in Saturday’s game at Buxton, subject to FA and National League clearance.
