The winners list are revealed for the much anticipated 2025 EFL Awards, which took place on the evening of Sunday the 27th of April.
The 2025 EFL Awards celebrates and recognises the continued efforts and achievements of Championship, League One and League Two clubs, players and individuals during what has been quite the eventful for everyone.
The guests arrived at Grosvenor House in London with proceedings starting at 6pm and expected to end at around 10pm.

Jobe Bellingham named the EFL Championship Young Player of the Season
Sunderland’s Jobe Bellingham has received the award for EFL Championship Young Player of the Season!
Bellingham’s age says that he is still a young player, but having crossed the 100-game threshold in the EFL, the teenager has developed a level of consistency this season.

Sheffield United’s Gustavo Hamer wins EFL Championship Player of the Season!
With 9 goals and 7 assists, Hamer’s ability to not just score but also set up chances has been key to that success, proving his worth throughout all 40 of his appearances in the division this season.
“I feel delighted, I’m buzzing,” Hamer said. “Except from promotion as a team, this is the best reward you can get as a player.
“You can’t do it without your team, we need each other. I can’t thank my team-mates enough to get this prize.
“I speak a lot with our captain Jack Robinson and he said to me last week ‘we need you more than ever at the moment’. That gives you a boost as player that the captain is giving you responsibility.
“I can be really happy with how I’ve done so far but we’re not done yet.”

Wycombe Wanderers’ Richard Kone win EFL League One Young Player of the Season
Since moving to Adams Park, he’s quickly become a focal point in the side with 21 goal contributions in 39 League One games.
Kone crowned the EFL League One Player of the Season
Just over 12 months ago, Kone was scoring goals for fun in the Essex Senior League for Athletic Newham and was quickly identified as a star of the future by Wycombe.

Nathan Lowe has been named the EFL League Two Young Player of the Season following his epic loan spell with Walsall earlier in the season.
Lowe played just 22 games for Walsall during his loan spell, but he currently still sits high in the League Two scoring charts. A natural goalscorer, poaching a tap-in or taking a snapshot when others wouldn’t dare made his teammates believers.
Scott Parker named EFL Championship Manager of the Season
The Burnley boss secured a Premier League return for the Clarets at the first time of asking on Easter Monday, and they could go up as Champions with the title race heading into the final day next weekend.
“I am really proud of that [the points tally],” Parker told BBC Sport.
“To think that we’re on target if we can go and win at the weekend, a 100-point tally is a huge achievement.
“That, along with everything else that comes with it in terms of the unbeaten record now of 32 games, the clean sheets, the goals conceded.
“This [promotion] is right up there because of the journey we’ve been on. This is a team that was practically put together in the last week of the transfer window and to come together like they have makes me immensely proud of them.”
Chris Davies named EFL League One Manager of the Season
Davies said: “It feels wonderful to win this award. It’s been an amazing day, obviously we lifted the trophy today in front of so many fans, won 4-0 and got the points record, and then I’ve come down here and won this. It’s as good a day as you could hope for.
Graham Alexander named EFL League Two Manager of the Season
Neil Warnock receives the Contribution to League Football Award
Legendary manager Neil Warnock has been honoured for his services to the game and presented with the EFL’s prestigious Contribution to League Football Award.
The 76-year-old holds the record for the most games managed in English professional football (1,602) and has a record eight promotions to his name.
Warnock said: “I’ve worked hard for this award. It’s been a long career – 45 years – and never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d last that long. Yeah, I’ve had my ups and downs, but overall, I’ve really enjoyed football.
“I try to make people enjoy it. I try to put smiles on the fan’s faces, and I think I’ve done that.
“I am very much like a fan, and I think they appreciate that I say it how it is – cost me a few quid over the years, that.
“[The EFL] is just the best league in the world. How they do it year and year out, and the crowds they get… We’re very lucky in England to have Clubs like this, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.”

Player in the Community award
Taylor Moore of Bristol Rovers has been named the Player in the Community!
The award recognises the player whose involvement in his community has gone over and above that which would normally be expected, either due to the breadth of involvement in community programmes or due to the depth of support for one particular project or activity.

George Abbott wins the Goal of the Season award
George Abott’s stunning strike for Notts County against Accrington Stanley has been awarded the Goal of the Season at the EFL Awards… take a look below.
He said: “It feels great to win it, especially during my first season on loan.
“We worked on it in training so I always knew I was going to do it, but I didn’t think I’d hit it as cleanly as I did.
“The people around me have been unbelievable. Didzy (David McGoldrick) was also nominated for an award, and all the other boys around me have really helped me and pushed me through the season. Getting an award like this is because of them.”

Community Club of the Season award
The winner of the 2025 Community Club of the Season award is Norwich City!
The EFL Community Club of the Season Award celebrates an outstanding Club, based on its commitment to the community and the impact they have within that community.
Norwich City have won this accolade after the charity engaged with a record-breaking 45,828 participants during 2023/24.
Their charity’s service offer includes an innovative volunteering project called ‘My Club’, a ‘Play and Eat’ programme to assist those affected by the cost-of-living crisis, and the ‘Realising Potential’ initiative, helping those with disabilities and additional needs to improve their employability.
Green Club award
The 2025 EFL Green Club award goes to Northampton Town!
The EFL’s Green Club Award recognises a Club that has developed an environmentally conscious campaign, project, or initiative. This could be a matchday initiative, an internal staff project or a community programme.
Northampton’s ‘Cobblers Tackle Food Waste’ – a community driven initiative led by Northampton Town Community Trust and Supported by the Eat It Up Fund.
The project was launched with the aim to improve people’s understanding of how to reduce levels of food waste across Northamptonshire. It reached thousands of participants through blended education, gamification and community outreach.

Punjabi O’s is an initiative dedicated to promoting diversity, inclusion and community-building within the football fanbase. The Punjabi O’s focus on elevating the voices and contributions of South Asian fans, with a particular emphasis on creating an environment that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Punjabi community.
2025 Fan Engagement award
Cardiff City are the Fan Engagement award winners!
In just its second season as an award, the EFL Fan Engagement Award takes elements of the previous EFL Family Club Award to provide recognition to a Club who can demonstrate how it specifically involves and liaises with supporters.
Cardiff City’s 125th Anniversary campaign saw them win the award, a fan-led campaign that harnessed the cross-generational support of proud Cardiff City fans to create unique, memorable, moments of fan engagement.
Club Employee award
Ian Darler of Cambridge United has won the Club Employee award!
Ian has been an employee of Cambridge United for 45 years, joining as Head Groundsman in 1979. He is recognised as one of the finest groundsmen in the EFL and was awarded a BEM in the Queen’s Birthday Honours back in 2020.
LFE Apprentice of the Season
The next award is for the Apprentice of the Season sponsored by the LFE. It continues to reward exceptional young players who are at the beginning of their careers.

‘ACTing with Children’ is a project which provides tailored one-to-one and group support to children aged 0-18 with a parent in prison. A child with a parent in prison is 78% more likely to offend, and the project aims to intervene early in order to break the cycle.
Curtis Davies wins the Sir Tom Finney Award
Curtis Davies has received the Sir Tom Finney award at tonight’s ceremony.
A renowned leader on and off the pitch, Davies’ career spanned over two decades, in which he recorded nearly 700 appearances across all competitions.
