WHO HAS MADE THE SHORTLIST:

The EFL Awards 2025 are almost here, and we’re excited to reveal the official shortlist below.

The winners will be announced live at the League’s annual ceremony in London on Sunday, 27 April, which is also being broadcast live on Sky Sports Football from 8:30 pm.

Sky Bet Championship

Daniel Farke (Leeds United), Régis Le Bris (Sunderland AFC), Scott Parker (Burnley) and Chris Wilder (Sheffield United) are in the running to be named EFL Championship Manager of the Season.

The Whites’ possession-based football under Farke has ensured the West Yorkshire side remains in the mix for automatic promotion and the title.

In the North East, Le Bris has taken Sunderland from a 16th-place finish last season to currently being in the Play-Off places.

Burnley’s rock-solid defence has been masterminded by Scott Parker, with the Clarets just one clean sheet away from the all-time record.

Meanwhile, Wilder has got the Blades firing after last season’s relegation as they battle for promotion for the first time of asking.

In line for the EFL Championship Player of the Season award are three players who have all spearheaded promotion pushes. Burnley’s James Trafford has had an immense campaign between the sticks, proving instrumental in his side’s remarkable 29 clean sheets.

Gustavo Hamer has been described as a ‘midfield orchestrator’ and has certainly been an integral part of Sheffield United’s success so far.

The shortlist is completed by Dan James – the pacey winger is on track for a career-high tally of goals and assists in a single campaign.

Sky Bet League One

In League One, Birmingham City boss Chris Davies is competing for the Manager of the Season accolade alongside Wrexham’s Phil Parkinson, who is looking for back-to-back promotions, Charlton Athletic’s Nathan Jones, who has catapulted his side into fifth, and Richie Wellens, who has steered Leyton Orient to within touching distance of the Play-Offs.

Joint top goalscorer Richard Kone (Wycombe Wanderers) is on the League One Player of the Season shortlist, joined by defensive midfielder Tomoki Iwata (Birmingham City), who has provided a real balance to City’s play.

Davis Keillor-Dunn completes the trio – the Barnsley midfielder is the Club’s top marksman with 15 goals to his name.

Sky Bet League Two

In League Two, Andy Woodman has been recognised for the job he’s done at Bromley in the Club’s first-ever season in the EFL.

Meanwhile, Graham Alexander (Bradford City), Darren Moore (Port Vale) and Mat Sadler (Walsall) complete the Manager of the Season shortlist.

Competing for the League Two Player of the Season accolade is striker Michael Cheek (Bromley), who has an impressive 21 league goals this season.

He is nominated alongside winger Luke Molyneux, who has been influential to Doncaster Rovers’ push for promotion, and Nathan Lowe, who scored 15 goals in a prolific spell for Walsall in the first half of the season.

WHAT HAVE FANS ON SOCIAL MEDIA SAID:

Twitter users have their reaction on the EFL Awards 2025 shortlists revealed…

@ljwrd6: Shea 🤩 no doubt Egan-Riley wins it purely for the clean sheet record or Jobe for his name 🤣

@krispygreen84: Some interesting nominations…. Seb Auton up for League Two Apprentice of the season 😍 #GTFC

@derbyfc1990: No eustace then 😂😂😂

@nij_81: Now when was the last time we had individual nominations for EFL End of Season Awards #pvfc

@Walsallfantasti:
Full shithousey could be in full effect here
Lowe wins both awards 😉
Sadler gets manager of the year
Walsall won the L2 title
Be the most Walsall thing ever

@Ryann_Raisinhol: How on earth can they make these lists before season is over

@urzmikep: Complete injustice that Noel Hunt’s not included as manager of the season achieving what he’s done with no budget. Very easy to win games when you can buy any player you want!!

@TurkyHairlines: Traffords going to win it isn’t he

@HARVEYW80704663: Should be tanaka and souza rather than james and hamer but both been good

@zoesutherland: Hamer 🥰…but where is Rudoni??

@CodeUnknownYT: If its not Trafford, its fixed. Smashed records this season, niether of the other two have even come close to making history.

@LeeCologne: Biased but Parker…had his squad torn apart at the start of the season. Rebuilt it and is now 2 games from promotion

@mosstoboy: John Eustace deserves it for what he’s done with both clubs

@Anglianred: A pretty uninspiring list. Three teams with Parachute payments doing what you would expect.

@sarahfinn8: Parker for me, well organised and has now added goals to that team. Daniel Farke should have had Leeds promoted as champions already. Wilder, no words. Le Bris, I probably would have gone for him if the last couple of months they hadn’t whimpered to the play offs

@RickMcGurty94: 3 who have bought it, one clear winner.
