Eastleigh explain the decision for a 198% price increase for their cheapest early bird season ticket for the 2026/27 campaign.
The Spitfires, currently hoping to avoid relegation from the National League, have raised its cheapest early bird season ticket from £99 to £295 for 2026/27, citing rising operational costs like utilities, rates, and minimum wage increases.
Chairman Stewart Donald said that prices remain under £13 per home game and below league average, with a super early bird phase open for three weeks.
They sit 19th with 39 points from 36 games played, 6 points above the drop zone. They are 11th when it comes to average attendance, with the figure at 2,365, as per Football Web Pages.
Have to feel for Eastleigh, who we must assume don’t want to be hiking prices nearly 200% for supporters who they know will also be facing the same rising costs as them. Increasingly difficult times…

CLUB STATEMENT:
Season tickets for the 2026/27 campaign are on sale now, with supporters able to take advantage of early-bird prices for the next three weeks.
Adult season tickets purchased before the early-bird deadline at 11:59pm on March 31 will be priced at £295 (East Stand, North Stand Terrace & Nuffield Health Community Stand). This works out at just £12.82 per game.
Existing season ticket holders will have their current seats reserved until the end of the seat renewal period at 11:59pm on March 31. All unsold seats will then be released for general sale from 10:00am on Wednesday, April 1.
There will also be the option for supporters to pay for their season tickets via an instalment plan. The season ticket can be paid for over three months, but will include a £15 admin charge (£5 per month).
The club has made the decision to increase season ticket prices due to rising operational costs. The club has always worked hard to offer affordable football; however, this is unfortunately no longer sustainable. This decision has been made in response to increasing rates, utilities, and the pending rise in the minimum wage.
Whilst we acknowledge that this represents a significant increase, our prices will still remain below the league average.
In addition, over the past 12 months we have been monitoring an ongoing situation in which several groups of supporters have been exploiting the ability to access the stadium using the incorrect age band. From next season, enhanced measures will be introduced to ensure that stadium policies are observed by all supporters.

@afc_stoneham @HambleFC @FollandSportsFC @sholingfc @wincityfc @ColdenCommonFC @Millbrook_FC @Romseytownfc1 or the @HantsLeague have some good local sides 👍

@blufferfish089: Quite frankly absurd price increase, personally feel I may have been priced out of it and will have to seriously consider whether it’s worth paying £175 for a student ticket for potential NLS football 🥴
@loulangdown: The real cost of hires & fires now passed onto supporters. Recruitment is key. Managers, coaches, DOF’s, & players purchased & spun out hits the pocket the most. Get it wrong & your fans suffer. Feel for SD who’s bankrolled the club. BTW great price for fans the last few years 👏
@LJoe140404: £295 for a season ticket, that works out to just shy of 13 quid a match, am I the only who thinks that’s still quite reasonable? 😂🤔
@TheDeckNL: I think the argument isn’t necessarily the price. It’s more the major % increase. It’s also reportedly increasing further on April 1st and the club could be dropping a league. The price is still good value. Was curious how different people interpreted the news.
@LJoe140404: For the life of me I don’t see how selling adult season tickets at £99 (less than a fiver a match) is sustainable business at virtually any level, so they obviously thought they had to drastically change something. If they get relegated then they might have to have a slight rethink, 200% increase looks grim on paper but looking at the bigger picture I still don’t think it’s that bad of a price band.
@mwoot_17: Increasing it to about average for nl level tbf but the timing is incredibly odd and shows the club aren’t concerned about relegation when we should be
@SteveGrant1983: Clumsy wording, saying it is not sustainable to offer affordable football 🤔
@joelewisbrown_: Thats outrageous to watch national league. Especially considering the circus eastleigh are right now. The quality of football down there is atrocious
@Spitfire6491: We have had ST so cheap for many seasons, especially this year when price went down to £99, from about £150 previous season. The prices for next season are on a par or still lower than many NL sides.
@ConMccormick1: I would Rather go to a (Step 4-6 Team @WessexLeague @IsthmianLeague or @SouthernLeague1 in the National League System)where Season Ticket are £100-£60 for a Good Quality Game
@CamalamSaints98: Considering safety isn’t secure yet it’s a lot of money for NLS… £99 to £295 that’s over a 200% increase compared to Early bird last year!
@Archie111111111: Realistically, who’s gonna bother getting a season ticket even for free with the state we’re in rn, genuinely
