‘Disgusted’ and ‘why would you do this’ was just some of the comments made by Cardiff fans as they rage over posting some ‘shocking’ news.

Sol Bamba will be leaving the Welsh outfit, after it was announced that his contract at the Championship outfit will not be renewed upon its expiry on the 1st of July.

– STATEMENT ENDS –
Bamba started his career at Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain, signing for the Bluebirds in 2016, following one season endured at Leeds United and the centre-back has become a fan favourite during his time in south Wales.
The 36-year-old Ivorian international has had a difficult year off the field, being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma at the beginning of 2021 and began undergoing chemotherapy.
Four months later, Bamba revealed he was thankfully now cancer-free and managed to return to play for Cardiff in the clubâs final game of the season against Rotherham, which left everyone involved with the club âdelightedâ according to manager Mick McCarthy.
As mentioned, Cardiff fans decided to rage over the ‘shocking’ news of Bamba’s release, believing that the centre-back shouldâve had a better send-offâŠ
@jacwillisccfc: Bennet and hoilett been class servants to the club đ , letting bamba ago is poor decision
@woodland1989: Absolutely shocking letting @Sol14Bamba go
@JamesL1927: Fantastic servants to the club, just a shame we canât say goodbye in front of a full house. Surely Sol needs to stay on the coaching staff!? That man is Mr Cardiff City and is going to make a great manager in the future
@86mph: @JamieBluebird @AllThatRumpus @KieranPryor @andypryor68 ABSOLUTELY GUTTED about Sol đđ
@soozles_: Canât believe that Sol isnât at least getting some sort of coaching contract.
@AlexDon39374386: Bamba has to stay on coaching staff surely
@Ryan_Lewis226: That is absolutely shameful. Bamba deserved to retire in front of our fans and Bennett deserves much better than to be chucked to the side after being injured. Shambles
@CCFCFTW123: SOL NOOOOOOOO
@THgolf: Very disappointed in my club. Not the first time youâve treated a club legend badly. @Sol14Bamba deserved better, one more year and a chance for fans to say a proper farewell
@kianjamesx: Offer bamba a new contract now
@luke70367625: Absolutely disgusted in @CardiffCityFC not giving sol bamba and Joe bennett a new contract thatâs horrid
@EllisTheChicken: Absolutely devastated @Sol14Bamba @JoeBennett27 đ
@jake2t2: What in the living fuck
@packxszn: are you taking the piss or
@Jonblackmore71: I donât think this news is going down well with the fans!!!
@cosher59593260: Club donât give a fuck about the fans
@bill_badham: What a disgraceful decision to out @Sol14Bamba after the service he has given the club. Sol will be the first the acknowledge that he is at the twighlight of his career, but he brings so much else to the club that should be cherished not discarded. Shame on the club.
@Lewisharrisccfc: Wtf are we doing
@EllDonne: Surely Bamba is coaching?
@anababe36: Absolutely dreadful, especially what @Sol14Bamba has been through. All the best to all three players, and hope u get the respect u deserve wherever u go from here, absolutely gutted!!
@LampertCCFC: Give Bamba a lifelong contract please gaffer! Also Bennett depart leaving us only with Bagan at LB, does that mean we’ve signed a new LB? Jonny Williams also a weird one seeing as he hardly got a game to prove himself + Vassell staying when he’s been injured the past 2 years, odd
@Anthony76632588: What a way to shit on Sol. No Sol no me đ
