Derby fan gets savagely mocked after video of his complaining about MK Dons goal goes viral

A Derby County fan gets savagely mocked on social media after video of his complaining about MK Dons goal on Monday goes viral.

MK Dons boosted their League One survival chances and dented Derby’s playoff hopes by drawing 1-1 at Pride Park.

David McGoldrick scored his 21st goal to get the Rams ahead, but Henry Lawrence responded in the second period.

With the point, MK now sit four points clear of the relegation zone while The Rams missed their chance to climb into the top six.

James Collins rattled the MK Dons woodwork within the second minute, and Nathaniel Mendez Laing was denied by Jamie Cumming in the 15th minute when he broke through.

No surprise that Derby scored just two minutes later, with McGoldrick turning over the ball after Collins had flicked on a corner.

MK Dons found it tough to break out of their own half, but kept battling with Derby eventually punished for not turning dominance into goals.

Mark Jackson’s side make it 1-1 on 68 minutes through Lawrence, who found the net from a Nathan Holland cross, the ball flying past Joe Wildsmith from 10 yards out.

MK Dons had to battle through nine minutes of added time to keep it at 1-1, with Derby unable find a winner and remain in seventh place.

Not the result Derby want, especially after beating them 3-1 in the previous meeting. As can be seen below, the highlights, and the moment a Derby fans lost it as ‘cheating’ MK…

Derby County Head Coach Paul Warne says he’s ‘heartbroken for the players’ after they were held to a 1-1 draw by MK Dons.

“It’s sort of the microcosm of our season. We were unplayable in parts and outstanding in parts, but we just don’t take our chances. We aren’t clinical enough in the final third.

“I thought we were virtually on top from start to finish and we made changes to freshen it up in the second half.

“I always fancied us to get the second goal and generally speaking we were the team in ascendancy – we had nearly 30 attempts at goal. Teams have come here and had three attempts and scored two lately.

“I feel for the lads, I’m devastated for them. They got in our box a couple of times but it’s disappointing that every time something goes wrong it goes catastrophically wrong. The lads are heartbroken.

“We’ve just got to see what character we’ve got in the dressing room. We’ve got five games left and we’ve got to try and pick up as many points as possible from those.

“I thought our play deserved a win but it wasn’t to be.

“We’re all about showing the positive stuff. In the second half I thought it was a bit hair and scare at times but I thought in the first half we had complete control and we were a real force.

“In the second half we weren’t as coherent but we still got in some really good areas and we just missed that little bit of cutting edge.

“There wasn’t much wrong but unfortunately the second goal is crucial. We will leave the place heartbroken but positive on the performance and we will look to recreate that again for the weekend when we head to Bristol Rovers.

Mark Jackson was delighted with side, saying, as per Milton Keynes Citizen:

“I’m really proud of what we did in the second-half. We had to be honest at half-time, we knew it wasn’t good enough and we had to do things differently in the second-half. Credit to the players, we executed what we had to do perfectly.

“We had to defend, backs to the wall at times from Derby’s set-plays and pressure they put on us, but they put that on a lot of teams that come to Pride Park. I’m just delighted we were able to do that in the second half and get the point.

“We weren’t just going to sit back. There were times we felt we could press and put Derby under pressure, and we didn’t do it enough in the first-half. The response from the players and the subs, I cannot ask for more from them.”

The draw extended Dons’ unbeaten run to six matches, with Jackson adding: “We wanted to keep the run going, we approach every game differently but wanting to win it. Coming here, if we’d been offered a point we’d have been happy with it.

“It shows we can compete with teams at the top of the table, which is a real positive in the here and now but also in the future. It provides belief.”

As mentioned, the Derby fan gets savagely mocked after a video of his complaining about a MK Dons goal goes viral…

@gempopmoo: This is embarrassing

@LeeENIT: “MK Dons are cheats” – Supporter of club that had “everyone on strings” that was then given a points deduction that relegated them because of FFP breaches. Oh. The. Delicious. Irony.

@OfficialMKDSA: 7 man 16 pass move ….its rubbish isn’t it ? These Premiership sides really can’t handle crappy old League One. Fella …Derby just ain’t famous anymore.

@RobinBurnerAcc: My worst fear when going to football is that I’m gonna sit near someone who vlogs the whole game

@JamesJordan91: Their “HMS piss the league” must still be in the docks 🤷🏻‍♂️

@bfc01234: Derby calling anybody cheats is a laugh

@oncewassven: How’s that whole “Steve Gibson/EFL/Leeds on strings” thing working out for you there lads?

@tommydavies: Surprised he didn’t blame Steve Gibson for that

@ScottGretton: Why do people do this? I just don’t get it. Admittedly he’s better than Jamie Carragher but I don’t get what prompts the thought: ‘hang on a minute it’s kicking off here Il just whip my phone out and film my reaction to it’

@GazHunty: Best thing on Twitter today 🤣

@JakeSwfc1: But they won the league in July?

@Danptill: I can’t be sure but I think he is of the opinion that they’ve been cheated.

@jakehodgson5151: Derby think they are the bollocks. Over rated fans . Not even a good side rely on mcgoldrick to do it all

@RizzyMK04: One word. Rattled.

@Beckwith_83: Stop filming yourselves at the footy, fucking awful. Should be banned 😂
