Derby County have confirmed the appointment of Phillip Cocu as their new first team manager, replacing Frank Lampard who went to Chelsea.
The 48 year old former Dutch international midfielder Cocu has signed a four-year contract to take charge of the Rams.
He has also made appearances for Fenerbahce and PSV manager who has been an assistant for the Netherlands.
He won three Eredivisie titles and one Dutch cup with the latter, before moving on to the Turkish club though was sacked after 15 games with a record of three wins, five draws and seven defeats.
He has also had a playing career, making 598 appearances and scoring 122 goals in total for AZ Alkmaar, Vitesse, PSV, Barcelona and Al Jazira.

Commenting on his appointment, Cocu said: “I am pleased and honoured to confirm that Derby County will be my new club and can’t wait to meet with the team and the fans to start this adventure together.”
