Derby have lost 2-1 to Birmingham, the game also seeing Luis Vazquez with a miss of the season contender and Henrik Meister stretchered off.
The Blues come away with all three points, Paik Seung-Ho getting his first goal of the season to put more misery on the Rams.
Bobby Clark had put Derby ahead on the 40th minute, before Carlos Vicente levelled the scoreline two mintes later.
According to BBC Sport, Henrik Meister took a heavy blow at the start of this second half, and couldn’t continue, taken off on a stretcher with care taken to his neck, another blow for an injury hit Derby.
Sam Szmodics also saw a late effort cleared off the line for Derby, who will be hoping other results go their way to keep them from finishing the day bottom of the Championship, sitting on 4 points form 7 games played.
Birmingham meanwhile are up 8th with 10 points from their opening 7 games, ahead of the 3pm kick offs.

Derby’s John Eustace said, as per Sky Sports:
“I thought we were excellent in large parts of the game against a very competitive team. Really disappointed in the two goals we conceded, we need to be better after getting caught in possession and then defending the far post.
“The second goal has come from a long goal kick and it’s gone straight between our two centre-halves and we need to be bigger and better at defending that and then from the set-piece we obviously need to be stronger.
“I think we have to adjust and get used to each other as well, it doesn’t just come from the back four it comes from the front players as well.
“We’re chopping and changing the team a fair bit to try and get the right chemistry and solutions so we’ve got to keep working hard on the training pitch.”
On Meister: “To lose him just after half-time was tough. It was difficult, but he’s OK now. He’s having concussion protocols. We’ll just have to see how he is. I’ve been speaking to him and he seems okay.”

Birmingham’s Chris Davies:
“I think I’m right in saying we’ve got the same amount of points from the same amount of games as we did last season but we’ve looked a completely different team.
“Not only stylistically but just the strength and mental strength we’ve shown and the desire. It pains me to say it but we would have lost that game last season or we would have drawn it.
“I think the trust starts to grow in the group. You go to Wrexham and win, you go to Derby and win and it says a lot of what we are capable of.
“I think anyone who plays sport or football knows those wins are the best where you’ve had to show that real character and grit because it makes victory taste that bit sweeter.
“It was a massive win, a win that had a bit of everything in it in terms of the way we went about it so to win it and win it in the way we did was pretty special today.”
"They're the moments you have to enjoy." ✨

Here’s the social media reaction as Derby lose 2-1 to Birmingham, with the game also seeing Luis Vazquez with a miss of the season contender and Henrik Meister stretchered off…
@GDZ123_: Get him fucking gone tonight. Shit football, no plan B absolutely clueless #dcfc
@smarmy_dcfc: Pathetic and embarrassing. How we only conceded two is beyond me. In the bin please. 🚮 #dcfc
@lodgey2510: Get him sacked asap or we are going down…no fucking another 4 games we need to change asap …let’s be honest we had more chances than normal but they should of had 5 #dcfc
@_BrettJames: not good enough up top with minimal creativity, spark or chance creating passing/crossing. defence is a shambles, lacking some steel and organisation. miles off it, give away far too many chances and so easy to play against. It’s tiring and repetitive 🙄 #dcfc
@redfern_i_j: Even when chances come, there’s no simply no conviction or quality. Defensively, it’s just horrendous. Nobody taking responsibility, no organisation. This #dcfc side simply can’t control games. Forget bad luck. Today’s XG was 0.95 vrs 3.02. That doesn’t lie. Time to twist.
@FMRamster: No style of play, bizarre subs, dragging players to play roles others are better suited to do. Odd for a Eustace team to be disorganised but something is not right in that dressing room for me. #dcfc
@kaiden1875: Gave fucking everything. Brilliant. Millar wow. #bcfc
@SwannyHypno: This was a very weird game. First of all I want to say I hope Henrik Meister is ok that looked really scary. Vazquez I don’t even know what to say, Liam Millar is a demigod, GET IN BLUES! #bcfc
@GhostofDugarry: Fucking ELITE. King Klarer 👑a genuinely fantastic start to the season. In Davies we trust
@Andyjack83: Thank fuck, Vazquez miss didn’t cost us thankfully big 3 points KRO 💙
@oftenpartizan: Bet Vasquez is the most relieved bloke in the uk right now 🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏
@MikeyBCFC: Hard fought 3 points. But those subs at the end and the viral miss from Vazquez could have ruined all the hard work done. Millar looks class. Solis we’ve missed you. But well done to Vicente and Paik for the goals. Stanno for maximum effort as usual and to the defenders / Beadle
@Inti_Official: Nervy end, but thoroughly deserved. Today again showed how much better we could be if we were more clinical in front of goal. When Vázquez missed that tap-in, I thought we might end up drawing. Loved the passion though, throwing bodies on the line to see it out. 💙 #BCFC #KR
@_PeterBCFC: An absolutely fantastic win and performance. I’m so glad that the Vazquez miss didn’t mean anything. Needs to dust himself off, had a decent cameo before that. Proper blues that. From front to back. Up the bastard Birmingham City #bcfc
@RyanDDeeney: Get the fuck in! Proper display that. All about the intangible qualities. Won our battles, responded to a setback, stuck together. Big three points & takes us nicely into next week on a good footing. Up the Blues! #BCFC #KRO
@Hollyxfoster: That has to be one of the worst sitters missed I’ve ever seen 🫣 #bcfc
