A Declan Rice advert at a bus stop has been vandalised as RTE News deliver a sh*thouse report on his transfer from West Ham to Arsenal.
A video of a story from the Irish broadcaster has done viral, talking about Rice becoming “the most expensive Englishman in Premier League history” whilst showing clips of him playing and talking in an Ireland kit.
He moves to Arsenal who have reached a total agreement with the Hammers to sign themidfielder for a fee believed to be £100 million along with an additional £5 million in add-ons.
Rice, who is due to have his medical at the Gunners in the next few days, will be become their club-record signing after an agreement was reached.
While other media outlets report on his move, it’s Irish public service broadcaster RTE that got people talking, including footage of him playing for the Republic of Ireland back in 2018.

Born in London, England, Rice has paternal Irish grandparents and previously represented the Republic of Ireland internationally at both youth and senior levels between 2015 and 2018 before switching his allegiance to England in 2019.
He was eligible to play for Ireland as his grandparents are from Cork, and in March 2017, was named Republic of Ireland U17 player of the year before being named in the Republic of Ireland squad to play friendly fixtures against Mexico and Uruguay and a World Cup qualifier at home to Austria while making his senior debut on 23 March 2018 in a 1–0 defeat to Turkey.
In August 2018, Rice was omitted from the squad to play Wales by manager Martin O’Neill, who said that Rice was considering switching to play for England after being approached by them.
In December 2018, Rice met with new Ireland boss Mick McCarthy and his assistant, Robbie Keane, with McCarthy saying that Rice was a potential future captain of Ireland and that he would build the team around Rice should he decide to play for the country.
On the 13th of February 2019, Rice pledged his future to England, getting death threats from Ireland fans, and was subsequently called up by England for their forthcoming UEFA Euro 2020 qualification matches against the Czech Republic and Montenegro. He made his debut on the 22nd of March as a 63rd-minute substitute against the Czech Republic at Wembley, and gone on to play 43 times, scoring 3 goals.
As RTE News deliver sh*thouse report on his transfer to Arsenal, a Declan Rice bus stop advert gets vandalised.
Majority of West Ham fans wish him all the best and are planning to applaud him and chant is name upon his return but when in an Arsenal shirt next season.
It seems however his £105m move has left a bitter taste for some Hammers supporters…

ON THE VANDALISM
@KieranWallWhu: He was always too good for us, he won us a European cup before leaving for the next step in his career, I get its arsenal but he was never gonna stay. Our first major trophy since 1980 🤝 Grow up n move on
@HubVikings: I don’t get hating him over the arsenal transfer, still love him just hope he wins nothing there. He can win international trophies but seeing arsenal get relegated with him (I know it won’t ever happen) would bring me more joy than seeing him lift a CL or PL title there
@FinlayJackson01: I really don’t care what anyone’s gotta say but that is just embarrassing. Embarrassing doesn’t even describe the half of it, I’m genuinely lost for words.
@Jack_Varney: He doesn’t deserve this.
@Chris12490: Bunch of weirdos. We’ve just got 100m for the guy. Honestly don’t get why we’re moaning. We aren’t completing with Arsenal. Man City pulled out. Nd we already told him he can go lol.
@ScottSmithO: Fully grown men doing this… our fans are an embarrassing bunch at times. Having full on meltdowns about all of this.
@ChrisKe39344402: Big players move on. I’d love to see Grealish stay but realistically they want premier league and champions league. And Grealish done it within 2 seasons. I’d love to see rice stay. But villa and West Ham aren’t at that level yet !
@PeterCoyle18: A total disgrace. Declan is, and always will be, a complete superstar. Good luck to him ⚒
@WestHamDiscuss: Very very small portion of us. Rest of us still love him and think he’s a club legend.
ON THE NEWS REPORT:
@JonFrEire8: This is the pettiness that I like to see, really enjoyable watch.
@LeighWales: Let’s be honest they have a point
@Jaywbafc: Not gonna lie I gotta respect the pettiness 😂
@GallagherGarvan: Considering the brits keep claiming our sports stars and actors as British, time to get our own back.
@jbcfc__: The funny thing is Rice and Grealish are as English as they come. Focus on the exciting generation of proper Irish talent coming through like Evan Ferguson, Nathan Collins and Mark Sykes
@AnnemarieDray: Okay so why’s this worth the tv licence fee alone? 👏🏼🔥
@goonergael: There is shithousery and there is irish shithousery 😅🤣🤣
@1FCKobe: This is sensational stuff from RTE 👏👏👏👏 🤣🤣🤣
@bad_trashpanda: Declan Rice becomes the most expensive Iri- er English player to er…
@JaseL2022: 🤣🤣 this level of pettiness from national news channel is sublime 👏👏, albeit RTE bigwigs are utter c*nts
@gerardoconnell: rte gaining back a few fans today #COYBIG
@billyhammer4eva: 😂😂😂 brilliant. Should never have been allowed to switch countries after representing Ireland. Don’t matter that it was only friendlies. Ain’t right. So many rules and regulations in football that make no sense
@darr882: Brilliant 🤣 Glad he’s not at our club 🐍
@mcswanger: Fantastic stuff 😂😂😂
@adamweston: Great banter. I forgot he played for Ireland 🇮🇪
@SpursIrish: This is almost good enough to make you forgive all the scandal going on in RTE 😂
@TJ_Scarves: Top trolling. Love it
