Coaches carrying Crewe fans attacked with bricks by vandals in Morecambe after the League Two clash on Saturday afternoon.
Footage has emerged appearing to show a smashed window of one coach carrying the travelling supporters after they were attacked with bricks by young vandals near the stadium.
Gresty Road stadium announcer Andy Scoffin, who was stewarding one of the two coaches, said: “A group of kids attacked the supporters’ buses with bricks. I saw them, they looked no older than 13, some younger.
“Our bus wasn’t badly damaged but the other one wasn’t deemed safe to travel back with people on it, so a replacement had to be found.
“It takes a lot to shock me, but this did.
“Thankfully everyone was safe but it was a shocking experience.
“On a positive note, there were some spare seats on our coach so we took a couple who were sitting by the window which got smashed and they were shaken.
“Our contingency plan worked a treat – a replacement local coach arrived within about 20 minutes of a request.
“It’s my opinion that the fans that took charge of the situation along with Paul’s of Stoke drivers and their headquarters were excellent along, with the Burland coach.”

One Crewe spokesman said: “We were disappointed to hear of an incident involving our supporters coach at Morecambe.
“Thankfully of all our travelling fans on the coach were okay. We are currently cooperating with the authorities.
“The football club would like to thank Paul’s Coaches for their quick response in sending a replacement coach to get our fans home safely.”
Lancashire Constabulary say officers were called at around 5.35pm to reports the coach had been vandalised on Langridge Way in Morecambe.
The window was damaged, thankfully however there were no injuries reported.
Two males, aged 16 and 15, both from Morecambe, were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and released without charge.
Social media users gave their reaction after seeing coaches carrying Crewe fans attacked with bricks…
Some young @ShrimpsOfficial fans clearly need help with anger management. Walking back to town after the game I heard one whose every other word was f***ing – talking of "f***ing Cheshire c***s, etc". Made us a little nervous….

Crewe Alex supporters coach damaged when brick thrown at window when leaving Morecambe football ground. Someone's parents should be very ashamed.

It will be the same group of kids wearing their stone island gear, who chased our car down the street, giving out hand gestures when my 4 year old son was sat in the window where they were doing it, he was petrified. Mindless teenagers, glad no-one was injured.

Andrew Tomlinson: I was on the coach, it looked like the kids had a prearranged ‘store’ of stones which they then threw at us. I agree they looked very young. A shame there wasn’t enough evidence for them to be charged. A very shocking incident!
Simon Durkin: Wankers, hope everyone is safe
Jay Toms: Bunch of dickheads ??
Aaron Fleet: Absolute tossers really makes me upset seeing fans do this
Ryan Williamson: Hope everyone is ok
Rob Barrie: Wankers! They’re going down and they don’t like it ?
