Football supporters, the majority of Chesterfield, gave their reaction to what the club had to say to a planned Spireites fan protest, to do with the ‘sad decline of the club’, and they certainly didn’t hold back their feelings…
They've spent all summer & autumn hiding behind mad dinosaur & that's the best they can come up with…
No wonder the club is dying on it's arse, fans not bothering, no shows, protests etc.
RIP Chesterfield FC

People know DA is backing the manager now, the protest isn't about that. The total mismanagement has gone on for years and still hasn't been addressed and corrected.

We need financial support from him because he has employed buffoons who have cost us a fortune through their incompetence and that’s putting it kindly and without making any accusations that could get me in bother.

“Without his considerable financial support, the club would simply not be in a position to continue.”
Well with it the future doesn’t look too rosy.— Stuart Widdowson (@StuartWiddowson) December 5, 2018
Putting his hand in his pocket and increasing the debt is what he wants, if he thinks anyone’s buying anything else he’s deluded! There’s plenty of fans with decades of experience running big businesses that would sort the finances out for free if they were asked.

The reaction from fans continued on Twitter…
If DA wants to prove his commitment to the club then he has to accept he made a huge mistake employing MA and get rid while we still have a chance of staying up, and find the right man to achieve this!!!

Carson himself has just highlighted their failure in running the club – Dave Allen has to put in money to keep the club going. What kind of businessman allows a multi million pound business become as unsustainable as OUR club?

it doesn’t matter who owns the club.just want the truth nothing else don’t like being lied to n people talking down to me.mistakes and other stuff have gone on to long.just stop treating us fans like children n belittling us.everybody makes mistakes.the silence is to much SPEAK

He can demonstrate his commitment by selling up to a genuine offer (see Chinese and Swedish offers),and make a clean break – not retaining the conference and banqueting side as been alluded to.
Given his status as a successful business man, his approach makes no sense at all.
