A chant sung about Manor Solomon, by Leeds fans, in the 2-0 win at Stoke City, causes controversy with their own supporters on social media.
Joel Piroe scored in each half to send Leeds top of the Championship table, ahead of Sheffield United on goal difference, making light work of a poor Stoke side who go without a win in nine games, the Potters sitting 19th.
Piroe looked to have wasted a clear chance for Leeds before recovering to fire them in front against Stoke. He then grabbed the second after a Daniel James cross left him with a simple headed goal.
But it’s a video which has emerged of the chant for Manor Solomon that has gone on to cause and stir getting millions of views within hours of being published online.
The lyrics go – “Looks good, looks good, looks fine, looks fine, Manor Solomon’s on my mind and he hates Palestine. Singing do a didi didi dum didee doo, running past defenders scoring one & two.”

Ben Green (@BenGreenJeru) tweeted: “Leeds fans with the Manor Solomon song at Stoke.
“There are a lot of opinions on the video below.
“It should be recognised that Leeds, like many other cities in the UK, has seen tons of anti-Israel marches, that are simply anti-semitic, over the last 448 days.
“There is a section of UK society that has no skin in the game, that can see what these marches are about, and wants no part in it.
“Whether that includes these Leeds supporters is certainly open to debate.
“For example just days ago.
“Zionism simply means the belief in a Jewish homeland & is code for Jews.
“Intifada is calling for terrorism that targets innocent civilians in cafes & on buses.
“You cannot call for Intifada & claim to be advocating for peace.”

The FA and the Football League are both thought to be aware of the chanting, with Leeds warning the supporters they could be breaking the law over the ‘unacceptable’ tragedy chanting.
‘Discriminatory language or chanting is not acceptable and supporters could be breaking the law,’ said a Leeds spokesperson.
‘The club condemns this behaviour and has a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination abuse of all kinds.
‘Tough measures and sanctions are in place across all English football leagues to tackle illegal behaviours within football grounds, and this involves but is not limited to, discriminatory behaviour and tragedy chanting.’
As mentioned, the chant sung about Manor Solomon, by Leeds fans, receives criticism from their own supporters and many others…
@WLU147: I’m a proud @LUFC fan and will defend the fanbase and the culture of the club to my dying day. But the Solomon Chant is a disgrace and breaks my fucking heart. It’s everything our club is accused of being and I know in my heart the we are not. We are better than that.

@leedsmot007: As disgusting and vile as the solomon chant is its heartening to see so many Leeds fans come out and condemn it! Hopefully the club will too! @LUFC
@BenjaminEWilson: I’m a proud #LUFC fan and will defend the fanbase and the culture of the club to my dying day. But the Solomon Chant is a disgrace and breaks my fucking heart. It’s everything our club is accused of being and I know in my heart the we are not. We are better than that. .

@3enLancaster: I want no fucking part of this. Absolute rotters the lot of them.
@BielsaBible: Hey @LUFC maybe step in and ban this? Hey @Manorsolomon you reckon you could also say something?
@Manny_S_H_1989: Solomon is a player at this club, he’s been brilliant, but this chant is taking things to a stupid level. There really is no need to be using certain lyrics. Keep it football. 🙏🏽
@FPLKingCoops: I’m ashamed to be a Leeds fan whenever I hear that Solomon chant. So disappointing
@lucy_shutt: The same people loving the Solomon chant will tell you to keep politics out of football, but hey, it’s OK when it’s them doing it… right?
@Roobers74: Most of them won’t know it’s a political song. Needs to die, and fast. Plenty of boos in away end tonight yet we’re being drowned out by the moronic song
@Charli3brock: Solomon/Palestine chant is simply fucking unacceptable. No doubt these cunts cry foul about ‘keeping politics out of football’. Love Leeds hate Zionism.
@_abbylord: I’m seeing some proper bad freaks celebrating and finding THAT Solomon chant so ‘creative’ and the ‘best chant in football’. It’s not. It’s grim. Stop celebrating it when it’s nothing to be proud of.
@monoszaa: Solomon chant is absolutely fucking vile
@T0M0204: Good win overshadowed by a that pathetic Solomon chant 👍🏻
