Celtic fans throw bottles at Steven Gerrard as the ex-Rangers boss celebrates his goal for Liverpool in Saturday’s charity game.
After Martin Skrtel was brought down in the area, the former Reds captain netted a trademark penalty to put his side up 1-0 at a packed out Anfield.
He jumped up and danced in celebration in front the away end, and while it may seem like an extravagant celebration of a charity match, the legend’s previous management of Rangers made it all make sense.

The ex-England international led Celtic’s Old Firm rivals to a Scottish Premiership title win in 2021, ending an era of Hoops dominance.
He faced them again this weekend, but security staff ended up having to take to the pitch to remove bottles and other objects chucked at Stevie G. As the players dispersed, Gerrard continued to give it to the away side.
One fan even removed his green and white shirt to throw it at the 42-year old, as seen in the video above.
A Celtic player was even seen heading towards the Reds captain, perhaps to tell him to stop goading the fans.
The game was held with LFC Foundation raising money for programs across Merseyside.
Gerrard is also joined by a few other familiar faces, such as Dirk Kuyt and Robbie Keane.
Liverpool’s advantage was doubled in a matter of seconds when play resumed.
Djibril Cisse, one of four new faces subbed on by Dalglish for the second half, slid a pass in behind the Celtic defence for Gonzalez on the left, who beat his final marker and rolled a low effort in off the near post.
