“Fans Are The Fabric

“As we embark on our inaugural season, we wanted our first home shirt to be something unique for the fans that they could cherish in future years.

“Working with Hope & Glory we believe we’ve found that solution.

“As we’ve seen with the current pandemic and the games on television, football is nothing without the fans at even the highest level, this is no different for Bury AFC. We believe that the “Fans are The Fabric” of our club. Indeed, Bury AFC was created and is owned by its supporters.

“To celebrate the first ever Bury AFC Home shirt, you can have your own or someone else’s names sublimated into the fabric on the back of the shirt for an additional £50 on top of the cost of the shirt. You can add as many as you want provided you purchase them by 12th August when the shirts will all be printed. Please note it will appear on the home kit only and it is restricted to a maximum of 300.

“With no revenue from friendlies and traditional fundraising we felt this was a great way to generate funds for the club and at the same time mark the occasion of the first season. The ‘Fans Are the Fabric’ will not be repeated for future kits, although well may resurrect it in future to commemorate special anniversaries.

“You can see how the names will appear in the image below. Your name will be worn by every outfield player, every time the home shirt is worn, along with the names of other fans who have helped build this club from the ground up.

“To place your order visit the shop and in addition to buying as many shirts as you want, select ‘Fans in the Fabric’ at £50 and enter the name you wish adding into the boxes provided before adding to the cart. If you want to purchase more than three complete this process, go to purchase more and add them to the cart also.

“Please note that the names will only added to adult or junior sized home shirts down to 6 years of age. We do offer a Fans Are the Fabric option at £30 (including the cost of the shirt) for infant sizes (5 years old or under) which just allows for a single name, plus date if requested, to be added. This we felt this would be a good way to commemorate a birthday. You can see an example of that below. Don’t forget to get the spelling right.”

There was a huge amount of reaction as Bury AFC unveil their first ever home and away kits…
