Burnley were booed off, a chant was aimed Alan Pace, and Armando Broja was in a heated confrontation with fans at defeat to Bristol City.
Goals from Rob Dickie and Yu Hirakawa saw them Robins come from behind to beat the Clarets, who remain winless and are bottom of the Championship after five gams played.
A video has since surfaced of Broja speaking with frustrated Burnley fans in a car park, it sees him say” “What have I done? I’ve been rubbish for a year?”
Broja then added: “I haven’t played for a year!”
“Shut your f****** mouth and be respectful.”
Meanwhile, there were loud boos around Turf Moor come City’s winner and after the final whistle, as well as chants of ‘Alan Pace is a w*****’.

SHORTENED HIGHLIGHTS:
EXTENDED HIGHLIGHTS:
Burnley’s Nicky Hayen said, as per Sky Sports:
“I completely understand the fans, they’re frustrated and disappointed. Of course, it’s not nice to experience this, but I understand and I can accept it. The only thing we can do is keep on fighting back and showing resilience.
“There’s a lack of confidence at the moment and also a lack of fitness. We have players who didn’t play a lot in 18 months, in 15 months, and they still need a few weeks to get to their top level,
“I would rather my team was ready today than tomorrow, but with all the signings that we did and even the players who were already here who didn’t play for a long time, it takes time.
“I’m the last one who is actually asking for time, because I know how it goes in football and with results.
“I didn’t expect this start and for me it’s frustrating because I can’t give the fans what they deserve.
“But I’m not giving up. I have been in even more difficult situations and I turned it around and I’m 100 per cent sure when everyone sticks together that we can do it also.
“It takes until the international break when everyone will be 100 per cent ready in fitness and then we will be a really strong team, but you have to survive until then and at the moment we’re in a really difficult situation.”
Bristol City’s Michael Skubala:
“For me, it wasn’t a smash and grab or anything like that. I think we deserved to win it and it was great when we got it over the line.
“First half they didn’t cause us too many problems. And after they scored we looked really good and the team that was in the ascendancy.
“When we got our goal, I thought we were the ones that could go on and win it and we did that.
“It’s early days, but it’s really encouraging to see the team fight and play some good attacking football.
“It shows we’ve got a strong group that can win matches at this level.”
⚽️ “#Burnley fans are fully justified in voicing their opinion. It’s their football club, and they’re not happy, and quite rightly so.”

Here’s the social media reaction after Burnley were booed off, a chant was aimed at Alan Pace, and Armando Broja got in a heated confrontation with fans…
@TurfyTopper: I mean, the level of abuse from fans is not helping one bit 🤷♂️. I don’t mind the passion! Hope he gets a chance to prove us wrong on the pitch
@taggartj2003: You are taking the piss right ?. All fans said was what’s going on and he jumped straight to the defensive side saying he’s not played for a year and telling fans to shut the fuck up and be respectful. U don’t treat fans who spend their hard earned money like that I’m sorry.
@TurfyTopper: I don’t agree with your take, if your argument is he doesn’t care/ shows no respect he’d be the first person to jump in the car and go home. It’s just tempers flaring over. For me, this shows he cares! The video only shows so much, I suspect he’s getting dogs abuse before it
@user1738199391: I might be in the minority but I don’t mind this from Broja, fans are giving him shit so he gives some back
@rhamilton1882: @AlanPaceBFC out. Nicky Hayen out. We need a total reset of board room and back room staff. Get to fuck all of you, you’re all an embarrassment to the town and to the club.
@waltonyeah: Sounds to me like he’s admitting he hasn’t been great, hardly going mad is he
@taggartj2003: Telling fans to shut the fuck up👍 yeh great way to speak to people who spend their hard earned money. Fans are the core of a football club
@waltonyeah: To be fair those fans sound like they’re being dicks
@JulesG08: Hanging about to have a go at players.. odd behaviour that.
@Natalie_Bromley: This one’s on the manager today. Bad line up. No clear shape. Zero intensity or press. Players largely clueless as to what they were supposed to be doing. We’re in a mess. #twitterclarets
@AdamFar05727856: Actually just fuck off, I want my season ticket refunded and I want alan pace out of my club
@_ConorBFC: i wanted to take a bit of time to process the result, and not post anything too reactionary. but is there really anyway back now for ALK? in my opinion, there simply isn’t. the club looks unrecognisable. it hurts me to see how toxic things were today, but the frustration is fully understandable. they’ve given Nicky the worst possible chance of success. sold Flemming on deadline day.. brought in no replacement. i want them to come out and take responsibility now. no more silence, no more trying to block out the noise. no win in 206 days is absolutely absurd. i just want my club back.
