British teams learn of their opponents following Friday afternoon’s Europa League Group Stage Draw, so find out who got who below.
It was back in August that we saw Sevilla crowned Europa League champions for a record-extending sixth time after a thrilling 3-2 victory over Inter Milan in Cologne.
They qualified for the Champions League group stages this term but 48 other clubs will be hoping of emulating their success at the Stadion Energa Gdansk in Poland next May.
Tottenham, Rangers and Celtic joined Arsenal and Leicester in being involved in this season’s tournament, winning their playoffs ties on Thursday.
Leicester, Arsenal and Tottenham cannot play each other at the group stage – the same applies for Celtic and Rangers. Teams from the same nation cannot be drawn against one another. English and Scottish sides can, however, be drawn in the same groups as each other.
All remaining 48 teams have been drawn into twelve groups of four, with teams split into four seeding pots determined by UEFA coefficients with one team per pot being selected to go into each group.

Scenes when Alfy signs for Lille and bangs in the winner that knocks them out! ?

When you see Rangers drawn against teams like Benfica, Standard Liege and Lech Poznań it brings it home that we won’t be inside Ibrox for the Europa League group stages. I will just need to settle for doing the Poznań inside my living room.
