Twitter users reacted as British clubs discover fate of the Champions League 2023/24 group stage draw…

@bj_pumping: Looks like Newcastle is ready to take on the best in the Champions League group stage. It’s a tough draw, but the Magpies are up for the challenge! 💪🏆 #NUFC #GroupOfDeath”

@Dom11Mason: You don’t hope to get into the Champions League to then ‘avoid’ the big guns! What a group. Both hilarious and mouth watering at the same time 🤩 #UCL #NUFC

@RobbieMac90: To be the best you have to beat the best #NUFC

@nufc_rockets: Group of death but it’ll be fun and all top teams will only help us in the long run

@AdamNUFC_: Let’s fucking have it

@BorisBedd: At the very least we can say those Champions League home games are going to be worth the £55 now. #NUFC

@JamMckay1989: That’s the group every Newcastle fan wanted surely this is what playing in the champions league is all about what a fantastic group that is, some away days for the geordies #NUFC

@KiddEdan: All me pennies are going on those away days like, with or without a ticket. What a draw man bring them all on!!! 😍⚫️⚪️ #NUFC

@dave_leeds: Absolutely buzzing. Even if we finish bottom of the group, there’s glamour in every match which is just reward for last season. It’s better than playing some of the lower tier teams, irrespective of our chances. The fans should just enjoy it, I will. #NUFC

@ThrussellJames: That’s #NUFC out of Europe before Christmas. They’ve got no European pedigree and they won’t qualify for the CL this season .They’re simply not that good and always at a disadvantage because of where they’re located in the country. Eddie Howe first to get the sack. Get on it

@NanuNanu42: Alright @worflags time to show the Dortmund fans what a real flag display looks like! ##NUFC
