Bristol City’s bold new goalkeeper kits go down a hit on social media

Bristol City’s bold new goalkeeper kits for home and away matches go down a hit on social media ahead of the 2022/23 season.

City’s unique goalkeeper strips have been a strong feature since the partnership with Hummel in 2020.

And this time around, they’ve again pleased many, two different jerseys, the home mostly black with some rainbow zig-zag pattern and the away more pink and purple.

The Championship club said via their official website: “The Robins have launched their home and away goalkeeper shirts for the 2022/23 season, with the kits now available to order online.

“The kits, which will be worn by the men and women’s teams, will be available to purchase in the Bristol Sport Store from 9am tomorrow (Tuesday, June 7th). The Store is open Monday-Saturday, 9am-5pm.

Sponsored for the first time by new principal partner Huboo, Huboo’s Chief Marketing Officer Paul Bennett said: “We are excited at the launch of Bristol City’s new kit, which signals the start of our principal partnership with Bristol Sport.

“We can’t wait to see the team out in force wearing it next season. As a company, we have strong roots in Bristol and our ongoing partnership with Bristol Sport is something we are incredibly proud of. We wish the team every success this season.”

Bristol City continued: “In keeping with the club’s recent tradition of vibrant goalkeeper shirts, which contributed to the club winning various kit design awards, this season’s has an eye-catching 90s-style to it, with the club crest returning to the left of the chest.

Designed in conjunction with the club’s technical partner hummel, both strips take advantage of the ZEROH20 dry-dye technology, meaning it is more sustainable than ever to produce the kit.
