Bradford fans take aim at Sky TV, get mocked by Rotherham, then go wild celebrating a late comeback in Thursday’s League One meeting.
The Bantams fought back from a 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at the New York Stadium, the Millers had taken the lead through Denzel Hall in the 20th minute and doubled it via Martin Sherif in the 50th.
Bradford hit back however with goals from Antoni Sarcevic in the 56th minute and Pattison in the 81st, securing a point for the League One leaders.
A point is enough to see Rotherham rise in the rankings but still sees them falling short of escaping the bottom four.
As for Bradford, that top spot isn’t looking too comfy. Both Stevenage and Lincoln City have the opportunity to go above them on Saturday, leaving the Bantams to wonder if they will be pushed out the top two this weekend.
Still, Graham Alexander has to be pleased with the resolve shown to come back from 2-0 down which displays what this squad is made of.

Bradford’s Alex Pattison speaking to Sky Sports:
“I had a moment beforehand where I really should have scored, we had plenty of opportunities in the game to win it.
“But to come away with a point having been 2-0 down is a great point in the end, but we know we could have had more.
“I have had a stop-start season, I just want to keep playing games and to score.
“We look to win every game, we know we are good enough to win every game.
“We know we are a lot better than we showed tonight, but to get something when we have not played our best just shows the mentality of the group.”
Bradford goalscorer Antoni Sarcevic speaking to Sky Sports:
“We were disappointed with the first-half, but in this group we never give up, we always say we are in the game and we came out in the second half and gave it a real good go.
“And in the end I feel like we should have taken all three points.
“We knew tonight that we are the game before the weekend games so we wanted to make a statement.”

Bradford City manager Graham Alexander speaking to Sky Sports:
“I’m happy that we came back, but frustrated that we went two goals down.
“Considering the chances that we had, we should have been in the lead.
“It was a game we could have won but we gave a couple of sloppy goals away.
“We were brave enough in possession in the first 30 minutes, but did not stamp our authority on the game, we gave them opportunities.
“I thought we rushed our play, but character, heart and application we never find our team lacking.
“Great credit to the lads, they deserve a pat on the back for coming back in a big derby game.”
To the club website, he said: “I think it is a deserved point.
“We are a little bit frustrated with the chances we created to not win the game.
“Being 2-0 down away from home, it was a difficult scenario for us.
“The players never give up they just keep on going.
On the fans, Graham Alexander said: “They mirror what we are, and we mirror what they are. We do not give up; we keep going to the end.
“I think they have seen this from the team so many times, we just keep going and keep going and we do not give up on anything.
“It was brilliant to see, especially at the end, they are not going out, they are waiting to applaud the team.
“It is appreciated by us all because we were not great in our play today, but we certainly were competitive in a big derby game and the least we deserved was a point and scoring two goals in front of them was brilliant.”
Rotherham manager Matt Hamshaw speaking to Sky Sports: “Look they are top of the league and I thought we were better for the majority of the evening.
“A little bit of naïve defending, but we are putting a young squad together, they are going to learn.
“There are a lot of positives to take, some really pleasing performances, I think we saw what we are trying to build here again.
“It should have been game, set and match, but I think once I start to be able to put my best XI out we are going to be a real good team.”
Here’s how fans reacted as Bradford fans take aim at Sky TV, get mocked by Rotherham, then go wild celebrating a late comeback…
@gazza818bcafc: 2 nil up and you fucked it up!!!!
@PargeyBCAFC: to be 2-0 down and still draw and still feel robbed tells you everything you need to know
@StevieWotsa: The work rate of your players is absolute first class you have quality but what you dont have you make up for in the work rate! You’re fans should be proud you are defo going to be a force this season!! Oh and by the way Antoni Sarcevic is a fucking legend!!! 💚
@VPbantam: We could have scored 5, great battle to bring it back, take the point and move on, safe travels home lads ❤️💛❤️
@Dan26834978: Point away is never bad especially from 2-0 down we never give up and look dangerous always which is good. However we weren’t clinical enough tnite which you do have games like that but i think if swan puts one of his a way it’s a different game and we probably comfortably win.
@_McCluskeyR: Everything considered good point they could of been out of sight at times subs came on turned the tide now make the most of the time off few tired legs
@bowers_bcafc12: From 2-0. Down u take it don’t care what anyone says
@cockney_bantam: I do love scoring a goal and seeing the keeper lose his shit at his defence.
@marshyuk: First class lesson in how to bully CBs from cook there.. love swan n humps.. but both could learn a lot from Andy.. That’s many years in non league,Hanson was the same.. bullied n harrassed defenders. Class 👏 #bcafc
@bowers_bcafc12: From 2-0 down to go for it and feel robbed still at 2-2 says it all. Shocking finishing in the first half cost us. But we move on. Yh ink too many people are getting giddy thinking we’re going up again. Early days. Good point good result onto Barnsley! (Would start cook) #bcafc
@Callum__RUFC: Must say looked carnage in that away end when bradford levelled it up #bcafc
