Birmingham fans, Chris Davies, and Tom Brady taunt Wrexham after denting their Championship playoff hopes on Sunday afternoon.
Birmingham ended a three-game losing run when Carlos Vicente headed Birmingham ahead on 48 minutes, then the hosts’ captain Christoph Klarer made it 2-0 with around 30 minutes remaining.
The result means Wrexham stay four points from the Championship play-off places, 7th with 64 points from 42 games played, meanwhile Birmingham are up two places to 15th.
Brady also posted a cheeky dig at Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney via Instagram, tagging them and captioned the post: “It’s always more fun to beat your friends.”

Birmingham fans meanwhile were heard, as seen in the video below, singing the following chants…
“Engerland, Engerland, Engerland”
“Five of us singing and we’re louder than you!”
“Do do do, fucking useless”
“It’s all gone quiet over there”
“1-0 to the Library”
“All that money and you’re f*cking sh*t”
“You can shove your Deadpool up your arse”
“Wrexham get battered everywhere they go”
“2-0 on your big day out”
“What’s it like to see a crowd?!”
“Why the fuck are you still here?!”
“We can see you sneaking out”
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said, per BBC Sport:
“We came here today expecting Birmingham to play direct and go into the front quickly, which they did at Ipswich, and we were prepared for that.
“I thought first half, it was a competitive game and we handled those situations well. We lacked a bit of patience when we had possession in the top third of the pitch and made the wrong decision on a few occasions.
“We were right in the game, and we’re just so disappointed with the goals we’ve conceded today because out of nothing, two moments have been really costly for us.”
Parkinson, per Sky Sports:
“The first half was a competitive game. We expected them to go direct, but he [Chris Davies] changed how they played.
“We grew into it without taking care of our final pass. We were right in the game but the goals we conceded were so soft that it defined the game.
“We were right in the game in the first half. They were aggressive and went forward quickly. The goals have really hurt us today.
“I am never going to be critical of individuals; it is all about the team. They are just moments. In those two moments, it is really poor from our point of view.
“Goalscoring over the season hasn’t been a problem; we have always been a threat. But today we didn’t, in the second half we just couldn’t find a way through.
“The game was defined in moments where, in defending, we should have done better.
“We are still in the mix. It’s not over.”

Birmingham City head coach Chris Davies, per BBC Sport:
“I really enjoyed watching the team today, I thought we were excellent throughout.
“When the opposition doesn’t have a shot on goal and we had so many chances, that says everything I think.
“I just like the way we played forward more rather than recycling it.”
Davies, per Sky Sports: “It was one of our best performances of the season, one of our best wins. We were very aggressive, first to the ball and played quickly.
“I don’t think they had a shot on goal. A thoroughly dominant performance, the players had a lot in them today and pushed hard.
“It’s an unforgiving league so we have to stay humble. I like what I’ve seen in the spirit and fight.”
“Do we need a big finish to the season to alleviate pressure? Possibly, I don’t know. I have felt the pressure since the very first day. I am used to it. We go for every match.”
Here’s how fans reacted as Birmingham fans, Chris Davies, and Tom Brady taunt Wrexham after denting their playoff hopes…
@Dbeck891: Fully understand and respect all the wrexham fans in the comments upset fresh after a loss. But hope that there’s a solid realization eventually that 7th in the championship after multiple promotions in a row is still incredible. Understand the anger but this is a great season
@tommyshuffle1: I’m sorry but Parky has go to take a look at himself there. Not one shot on target all game and didn’t change shape until the 85th minute. Absolutely pathetic. But having 7 players starting who played in league 1 last season is never gonna get you in the champ playoffs.
@BootCamp04: Parky ball is rapidly approaching the end of its usefulness that also means the end of Phil if he’s unwilling to adapt his style of play (along with bringing the age profile of the team closer to 24 years old injecting Some athleticism into the squad)
@tommy_jamison23: No idea how you lot are 7th. Jesus wept. Back to reality next season for you lot now your bubble has burst. Terrible fans to. Not heard a peep all game.
@Benbcfc20: stick that in ya documentary 😂
@AledSCFC: How the hell are you fighting for playoffs? You’re pants
@mickyh01: Quietest set of away fans we have had here for a long time tbf.
@Alex_King_92: Season over. Very disappointing the way we’ve rolled over without even a whimper given how good we a couple of months back. Somethings gone badly wrong somewhere.
@GeoH_KRO: biggest overachievers this league has EVER seen and also the worst performance at St Andrews all season 🤣🤣
@HarryOaky: All that money and you’re fucking shit🤣
