Ben Chilwell cheekily gives it back to a taunting Fulham fan after Crystal Palace’s 3-2 victory on Saturday afternoon.
Fulham were booed off after picking up third defeat in a row, Pierre Sage earned his first win in charge of Palace while Alvaro Arbeola remains winless at Fulham.
Josh King put Fulham ahead on 11 minutes with a deflected effort, and shortly after. Palace’s Daichi Kamada had a goal ruled offside.
On the 35th minute, Tyrick Mitchell levelled the scoreline, Cesar Palacios made it 2-1 Fulham just before half time. On the 54th minute, Mitchell got his second of the game, Gonzalo Garcia somehow unable to clear his effort, then Palace snatched the win with full time approaching, Ben Chilwell getting onto a loose ball.
He then had the last last after when a Fulham told him he was a ‘Chelsea reject’, simply replying back to him “Take that L”.

Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa said, as per Sky Sports:
“Three games, three losses, so it’s difficult, and now you are thinking that we have to go to Anfield, Manchester United is coming to Craven Cottage, so you can see two very difficult games.
“Also in the Carabao Cup we have to go face West Ham United, so not easy, but we knew this month it was going to be a very tough month.
“But I told my players this month will not define our entire season. I think they are working so hard, they are giving everything they have, and with this mentality, with this character, I am sure that win will come.”

Crystal Palace boss Pierre Sage:
“I have to accept the story of today because that was the context of the game,” he said when asked about the openness of the match.
“But I have to change things and to improve the way of defending with the players, because we were too open in the first half and not very well-coordinated.
“That’s why they scored the second goal especially, but they had a lot of opportunities, and we took the first goal after a mistake in the build-up and we have to improve that too.
“That’s why today the lesson is free, because we won, but we are aware of the conditions of this victory.”

The Cottagers (@AndyC691226) wrtoe: “Players Treatment By Supporters….
“With all the social media removal and people on X and other Fulham pages are pointing abuse at the players after our third loss of the season.
“I have not and will never ever boo a Fulham player representing our club.
“I watched the game on Fox Sports and never heard Iwobi being booed off and had not clue that went on only been told today and seeing other posts confirmed that did happen.
“I did hear the what the F was that which I also think is utterly stupid
“I dont like how we are now abusing our own players online and in the ground and outside.
“When Iwobi was replaced he was injured he even said in a video outisde the ground with a supporter who just loves Bassey and Iwobi and waits to see them everygame that he was in pain and actually looked alot in pain ill find the video and post it also.
“Im critical of performances but I never personally insult a player that is just not on.
“And unfortunately supporters who weren’t here in the dark days dont understand how privileged we are as a club now.
“They dont know how bad things where at Fulham in the 80s and 90s.
“As a supporters of 45 years I just love my club and have an opinion but I do accept other people’s opinions.
“Smith Rowe no Fulham supporter can argue has been underwhelming as well as Kevin and Bobb at times but they do not deserve to be abused maybe its not the squad being toxic after all maybe its some of the supporters.
“Is this what we are really turning into 3 games in and the clubs falling apart im not buying it now nothing is wrong in the squad apart from players getting abuse.
“Such a insult to boo a player thats been one of our best consistently ove the last few years. If I was Iwobi id leave myself think after what I put in this is how im getting treated.
“Supporters need to give their heads a good shake really ashamed of them that was booing. Yes you pay your money and you have a right still dont make it right.”

Both Alex Iwobi & Emile Smith Rowe have removed all Fulham related posts from their Instagram accounts. 😬
Kevin with a cryptic post + Tete left out the squad, reportedly telling a supporter to ‘speak to the f*cking coach.’ when asked what was going on.

Here’s some social media reaction after Ben Chilwell cheekily gives it back to Fulham fan following Crystal Palace’s 3-2 victory…
@CPFCAlabamabham: I love this guy! Loved him last time he was here because he embraced the club on a loan. I’m so glad he’s ours now! ❤️💙 #CPFC @BenChilwell
@madaffc: Funny how our defence concede 3 goals to left-backs. Fucking embarrassing bunch at the back.
@BigzyBonam: Tony Khan out. You’re ruining our club. We needed a GK and a RW and you didn’t try. You have never tried, we could be so much more but you don’t care.
