The 2018/19 season is over for the Championship sides and fixture release day for the next one is just around the corner, so we’ve taken a look at every club’s average away attendance.
A total of 10,840,765 supporters attended second tier matches in the campaign just gone, around 500,000 down on the previous season.
With the ever-changing fortunes of our beloved clubs, we take a look at how well each Championship side faired in getting travelling supporters attending fixtures and filling stadiums up and down the country.
Here’s the list from ranked least to most, some are predictable, some are surprising: –
24) READING
The average away attendance for Reading for the 2018/19 season was 715.
They had 729 for the 2017/18 season.

23) BRENTFORD
The average away attendance for Brentford for the 2018/19 season was 772.
They had 1,040 for the 2017/18 season.

22) HULL
The average away attendance for Hull City for the 2018/19 season was 874.
They had 921 for the 2017/18 season.
21) ROTHERHAM
The average away attendance for Rotherham for the 2018/19 season was 901.
They had 1,013 for the 2017/18 season.
