There were astonishing scenes as Cardiff City net twice in injury time to comeback from behind and stun Ipswich Town on Saturday.
A well positioned Kieffer Moore had put the Tractorboys ahead on 79 minutes, smashing low and hard, in the far corner.
Eight minutes were added on, but Cardiff pushed on in wide areas since going behind, and it was a matter of time before one of their attacks paid off.
After a scramble in the box and, Ipswich struggled to clear, with Ryan Wintle putting the ball past Vaclav Hladky, levelling the scoreline on 95 minutes.
Then on 90+10 minutes, Cardiff broke Ipswich hearts when Famara Diedhiou headed the ball to Perry Ng, who hooked the ball into the six-yard box, and Callum O’Dowda completed the Bluebirds’ turnaround, causing wild scenes in the stands.

Barry Kent (BBC Radio Suffolk summariser): “The last eight minutes have been one way traffic. As soon as that corner was given, you could see on Kieran McKenna’s face he wasn’t happy. Cardiff do well on set plays. It fell to the right player – such are the margins.
“At the end of the day, when you analyse the overall performance it wasn’t good from Town. You felt when Cardiff got the equaliser, the moment was with them.
“It’s been a fantastic run for Ipswich and there’s still loads to play for. They have to remember where they’ve come from. Cardiff are an established Championship club – Ipswich had them on the back foot for much of the second-half but they didn’t create enough chances.”‘
Cardiff boss Erol Bulut: “If we see the whole game, from the beginning to the end, we played a great game. It would not be fair if we lost this game 1-0. That is why I’m really proud. They showed team spirit and willingness to win.
“We had a lucky hand, and that’s great. We changed the strategy [throughout the game], they were good decisions. I was thinking positive with the team today. The team gave everything, everything that they had.”
Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna: “It was a disappointing end to the game, but that’s football. We’ve had the shoe on the other foot plenty of times this season. I thought we took control of the game second half, could have had a winning goal.
“A solid, aware performance, but when the game is only one [goal] it’s always alive, we finished with a lot of attackers on the pitch, we were trying to push for a goal which we got, but then you had to see the game out or score another – we did neither.
“We’ve seen games out really well this year and that’s and rare one where we’ve conceded late. We didn’t manage to get hold of momentum and that can happen away from home.”
Here’s how fans reacted to astonishing scenes as Cardiff net twice in an injury time comeback to stun Ipswich…
@Rafferty1984: Good man Callum… Up the leeds 🙌
@194514W98: Always rated Cardiff
@DCFCJonnyMonty: Commentary 🔥🔥
@dommyboy79: Can’t win them all. Chin up #itfc fans, no drama. Goes to show that we’ve ruffled a few feathers of these parachute sides by some of the rsponses. 😂 👊
@BarneyLUFC21: Agent Lief Davis gave away the corner too.
@vinny_brand: this commentator is actually unreal haha, proper EFL legend
@Jsize18: Great got to deal with cal the dragon saying what a fantastic result it was even though he never watched it
@djt81: Dear Cardiff, We love you, have a nice weekend., Sincerely, Leeds United
@RFox55_: You simply don’t get the raw passion like this in the Premier League. Unreal scenes.
@jm_bell95: Gary Weaver is one of the very best in the business isn’t he? What a great commentary to capture the moment 👏🏼
@BendSinister86: Diedhiou and O’Dowda combine to create and score Cardiff’s winning goal. Fucks sake.
@vexmlll: If Gary Weaver is not on Prem games by next season I might just tune into Championship games
@charlieashcroft: The Championship is mental, part 65,419
@_Will_c_82: Decent limbs that. Very decent.
@BellsyNUFC: This lads my favourite commentator at the moment, loves a big moment.
@StoneThe1st: No dodgy double deflection shinpad stoppage time bollocks for you this week ☺️
@Irons_Tweets: Oh man that’s an absolute sickener for Ipswich
@J_J_Burke: Unreal limbs fair play to them
@_aarontoubian: Best league in the bloody world
@jamespaulcurrey: Never a corner at the end, Ipswich left back was fouled in my opinion, ref screwed up. #itfc
@g_neller: Not good enough at defending our box. Same story every time we’re holding a 1-0 lead #itfc
@Shanev76: Chucked that away, straight from taking the lead we sat back and brought it on ourselves, so frustrating 😵💫😖 #itfc
@Oliverpxge: Don’t know why we’re all having a melt down. Have a bit of composure and trust the process… we won’t be the only team to drop points between now and the end of the season. KEEP THE FAITH. #itfc
@RGP250716: Embarrassing! Trying to hold on to a 1-0 lead. Took Moore off who was the only one getting us up the park. McKenna has been great for us but today he got his subs wrong and it ultimately cost us the game.
@Jackwright290: Poor. Schoolboy defending yet again. Ball watching all the time. Just really poor. Still in the mix however. Right up there with the others. 4/6 next games are at home so much take advantage. But, must sort the shite defending out.
