Aston Villa fans continue to want manager Steve Bruce out despite win last night

Aston Villa ended their five-game winless run with a 2-0 victory against Rotherham last night but some fans are still continuing to want Steve Bruce out of their club.

Loanees Tammy Abraham and Yannick Bolasie were on target as they helped ease the pressure on Bruce who a first win in seven games.

It was a must win for both sides, Villa have had a horrid run of bad results and the same could be said for the Millers who have lost of their away games.

It started well for the West Midlands side who on the 27th minute saw Abraham pick up a through ball from Jonathan Kodjia to make it 1-0.

However, there were a few nervy moments throughout the game, one of those saw Rotherham very close to an equaliser as Richard Wood headed a cross inches wide with 13 minutes to go.

Bolasie got the winner with a diving header to make it his first goal since signing for Villa, who climb into the top six.

Bruce spoke to reporters after last night’s win, as quoted by the Express & Star: “I have got four promotions, last year I nearly had a fifth. Yet I don’t know what I am doing? Unfortunately it filters through the mad few. The vast majority of supporters are right behind what we are trying to do. You can feel it in the stadium. If they wanted me out, the stadium would have erupted with it before the start. The supporters can see we had a bloody awful performance at Sheffield. Now we are sitting in sixth. I hope it shuts a few up. But I doubt it.”

Despite the victory, many supporters were still not satisfied and took to social media to demand for Steve Bruce to leave – take a look at that reaction on the next page.
