Arsenal flop Matteo Guendouzi has his hair pulled in a rather heated pre-season ‘brawl’ in a friendly at Chesterfield on Wednesday.
The Technique Stadium, formerly the Proact, was the host venue as Real Betis and Marseille locked horns with the game playing out to a 1-1 draw.
Guendouzi, who finally departed the Gunners on a permanent deal this month, spent last season on loan at Marseille and is set to play a key role under new boss Igor Tudor.
However, preparations for the new campaign haven’t gone too smoothly after suffering defeats against Norwich and Middlesbrough then tempers flared in Derbyshire in midweek.

The flare up took place after a row between Guendouzi and 41-year-old veteran Joaquin while both sides reacted to a late equaliser coming from Rodri.
The goal came shortly after Arkadiusz Milik looked to have handed the Ligue 1 side a victory.
As Guendouzi turned to face his counterpart, Mexico international Andres Guardado then viciously pulled his long hair towards the ground leading to a furious reaction with even members on the bench legging it onto the pitch to calm the situation down.
Those involved had to be quickly separated by their teammates with as the remaining seconds ticked down.
Taking to Instagram to continue the spat, Joaquin posed in a black wig and added the caption: “You are going to hesitate (because of) my hair, long hair!”
Guendouzi went on social media to share a video of himself meeting and greeting delighted fans after the fixture, not engaging with what Joaquin had to say.
The first half was a very even affair with chances coming at a premium. Payet came close for Marseille with a free-kick that was well held by Rui Silver.
Betis started to find their feet a bit in the second period with the Spanish side coming inches away from breaking the deadlock.
Marseille finally broke the deadlock with around three minutes to go; Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik turned the ball home from close-range.
However, the lead didn’t last long. Rodri Sanchez powered a header past Simon Ngapandouetnbu into the back of the net before tempers flared.
