Social media users gave their reaction with an arrest made after the Potters Bar manager suffers ‘injuries to face’ and the match at Welling postponed…
@UKFDFC: What on earth has gone on here then? Truly anything can happen in Non-League 😳
@LFCGraham4: Hope Sammy ok
@Brand_No_7: Such a shame cos the club put some proper effort and work into the Christmas family thing today and all for nothing. Seeing Santa at the bar pretty much summed today up tbh
@WFan1963: Regardless of the consequences involved for anyone responsible for what happened today, all my thoughts and hopes are with the Potters Bar gaffer, who is in Hospital with a broken nose. Humanity should always come before football. Let’s hope this all gets resolved soon.
@Kingwolf84: Non-league football keeps on giving by the sounds of this….
@JamieCowley100: We were a magnificent club back then, a real family with togetherness and total unity. They were truly halcyon days.
@tom_riding170: Hopefully everyone is safe and ok. Socials will be lively today
@foreverayellow: hoping that those injured with make a speedy recovery, sounds like it really went down over at welling before kick off. is football really that deep?! getting into an altercation with it so close to christmas too. just a game lads, calm down. why risk getting into trouble.
@hicksydan: One normal day of South East non-league. That’s all we ask. Will never happen.
@Shomer1987: I take it the club will be following its own community guidelines in regards to this incident today
@hazza856: Unbelievable but believable 😂🤦♂️ Was looking forward to today’s game with back to back wins 🤦♂️
@dnfboyyy: What the hell has happened I was just about to leave? #WeAreWings ??
@I_am_the_Paulus: No official word, but sounds like an interesting pre-match build up 🥊
