After South Shields’ chairman announced his project to get the club back to the Football League, fans have given their thoughts…
Tremendous, a fantastic “GOAL” to aim for, we have the team, we have the management both on and off the field, we “ALL” have the desire, lets get cracking !

Need to get past @GatesheadFC @Blyth_Spartans @SpennymoorTown @Official_Darlo first which will take plenty of time, one step at a time surely…..

Why not be ambitious? We have a good set up, a good reputation and a great management team. I think we have the ability to draw bigger names than some clubs because of it.#UTM

The reaction continued on Twitter…
Would you rather the club came out and said they weren’t ambitious and didn’t want football league status …. Give over man ?

Too right, @GeoffTChairman ! Never believed in this ‘follow your dream’ mantra! It implies that all you have to do is close your eyes and it will happen. It won’t! There is no substitute for hard work, commitment and enthusiasm!!

I remember when South Shields came to my nearest club @DarloRAFC. Attended it and knew they were too good for the league and that something special was happening. Saw them again at Darlo in FA Cup, even then they were too good. Would be class to have another big north east club.
