A Look At The Most Talked About Signings This Transfer Window

Football fans everywhere will be eagerly awaiting the season starting up again in August, but until then, all eyes are on the transfer window. Arguably one of the most exciting times in the football pre-season, Premier League clubs in the UK have from the 10th of June, until the window closes on the 1st of September to complete their deals and transfers as teams’ welcome new talent to their line-up. Betting sites like Midnite Sports have put together some of the most talked about signings that have taken place so far. Read on to find out more.

Gabriel Jesus – Arsenal

One of the most talked about signings that has taken place in this year’s window is Gabriel Jesus’ move from Premiership winners Manchester City to Arsenal. The 25-year-old has signed a long-term contract with the club so he could be set to stay a while. Jesus has made a name for himself in the Premiership, winning the League four times, not to mention the FA cup and the League cup alongside this. Completing 5 seasons in Manchester, the forward has scored 95 goals in total, so The Gunners will be hoping that he can perform at his best for their team in the coming season starting next month.

Darwin Nunez – Liverpool

The Uruguayan made his move from Benfica to Liverpool this summer and is the newest addition to Liverpool’s forward line up. Nunez’s performances have been getting better ever since he transferred to the Lisbon-base club in 2020, and a hattrick against Lech Poznan cemented the players potential and what he could bring to the team. He is a versatile footballer, that could see him assisting the Reds by playing centrally as well as out wide. With 48 goals in 85 appearances for Benfica, only time will tell how he will progress under the management and development style of Jurgen Klopp.

Richarlison – Tottenham

Another of the most exciting signings that has happened in this transfer window is the move of Richarlison from Everton to Tottenham. It’s said that the club has broken it’s record transfer fee by offering £60 million for the player to join them next season. The plan for Tottenham was to sign another forward as a way of taking the pressure off Harry Kane and Son, and the club have succeeded, regardless of the interest shown by both Chelsea and Arsenal. The 25-year-old Brazilian has scored 48 goals in 111 appearances with Everton, so both the team and the fans are bound to be eager to see how Richarlison can perform for them next season. Having already signed Bissouma and Fraser Forester this summer, Tottenham could be the ones to watch.

Kalidou Koulibaly – Chelsea

Chelsea’s second player to join this summer, Kalidou Koulibaly has made the transfer to the club on a four-year deal from Napoli. Koulibaly is said to be a natural leader, and a strong character as well having years of experience playing as a defender, Chelsea will be hoping that he can bring some well-needed goal threat to the team heading into the new season. Chelsea paid £34million for the defender, who will be wearing the number 26 shirt – formally worn by John Terry – Koulibaly even called him to ask if he could take it! Chelsea fans will be hoping to see some great defending from the Senegal national next season.
