9th tier club Cobham become English football’s first champions of the 2025/26 season after beating Redhill 1-0.
Going into this weekend’s game, we knew that Cobham would be Champions of the Combined Counties Premier South if they won OR drew AND Tadley Calleva failed to win OR if they lost, Tadley also needed to lose (though the GD difference is such that Cobham would effectively be Champions if Tadley drew and they lost), as per Affo.
Tadley Calleva were held 2-2 at Balham, meaning Cobham, managed by Craig Lewington, couldn’t be caught, with club chairman Dave Tippetts saying as per the NLP: βThis is the strongest side that Cobham have had in their history… we have not just won the league, we have dominated it from start to finish.”
FULLTIME | The Hammers win 1-0!
