Wolves defender Kortney Hause closing in on a loan move to Reading, Football Insider sources understands. Championship side Reading have made enquiries to Wolves about Hause’s availability on loan as they look to bolster their defensive options and are hopeful a deal can be agreed this month.

In quotes reported by the Birmingham Mail, the director of Norwegian side Odd has admitted that there have been talks with Wolves about a potential deal for highly-rated young left-back John Kitolano.

Ajax‘s Eredivisie left-back Nicolas Tagliafico is reportedly a target Newcastle United as Rafael Benitez hopes to boost his squad.

Burnley are set to bid £18m for West Brom striker Jay Rodriguez six years after he left the club to join Southampton.

Manchester United want to sign Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier as successor to Antonio Valencia, according to reports.

Sky Italia are stating that Wolves have tried to lure Franck Kessie to Molineux before the transfer window shuts in what would have been their most expensive ever signing.

TEAMtalk is reporting that Leeds United and Fulham, who were linked a few months ago, remain at the front of the queue to sign Sean Clare. But Swansea City are a new name in the frame with the report suggesting that they are one of the clubs who have held talks with the former Gillingham loanee.

Leeds have shown an interest in signing Brighton’s Oliver Norwood. The YEP adds that Leeds are also one of a number of second-tier sides interested in the highly-rated Brentford midfielder Ryan Woods. The 24-year-old would not come cheap, however, given that Swansea City were tipped to make a £7 million bid, according to Sky Sports.

Burnley and Derby County are in talks over a deal that would see strikers Matej Vydra and Nahki Wells swap clubs, according to Sky Sports’ live blog.

It is reported that Fulham have seen a £9 million bid rejected by Celtic for Dedryck Boyata. But the Londoners are prepared to raise their bid to a staggering £12 million.

– Burnley appear to be leading Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough in the £15 million race for Everton‘s Yannick Bolasie. The Sun reports Burnley have opened talks with Everton about signing the winger, and are the only bidder close to the Toffees’ £20 million valuation.

– Newcastle United are looking at trying to sign Bournemouth ace Harry Arter this summer, according to The Sun, but the Magpies face competition from Cardiff City, Middlesbrough and Stoke City for the Republic of Ireland international. The report adds that Bournemouth will be looking for around £10 million before they sanction a deal.

– Aston Villa are making a shock move to sign Besiktas’ Alvaro Negredo according to a report from Turkish publication Takvim via Villa Report. Cardiff are also keen.

DEALS:

– Fulham have completed the signing of Arsenal defender Calum Chambers on a season-long loan deal.

– Burnley have signed goalkeeper Joe Hart from Manchester City on a two-year deal for a fee in the region of £3.5m. Clarets boss Sean Dyche has brought in the 31-year-old with fellow keepers Nick Pope and Tom Heaton out injured.

– Colombia midfielder Jefferson Lerma has joined Bournemouth for a club record £25m fee from Spanish side Levante. Lerma, who agreed a five-year deal, played in all Colombia’s matches at the World Cup in Russia, including their last 16 defeat by England.

– Burnley have signed Derby County‘s Czech Republic striker Matej Vydra, who was top scorer in the Championship last season. Vydra, 26, has signed for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal, with the option of another year. He scored 21 goals in 40 league appearances as the Rams finished sixth in the table.

– Birmingham City have re-signed striker Omar Bogle on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Cardiff City.

– Birmingham City have signed Bournemouth winger Connor Mahoney on a season-long loan deal.
