Liverpool fan Callum Skillen (callumskillen1) was left reeling after watching PSG progress through in the Champions League.
Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones saw their penalties saved to send Liverpool out of the Champions League following a 4-1 shoot-out defeat at Anfield.
Ousmane Dembele scored as PSG won 1-0 on the night to make it 1-1 on aggregate, sending the time to extra time.
callumskillen1 can be heard in his TikTok video, reacting to his side being knocked out: “Oh my god. We’re out. We were shit.
“What I don’t get is how can we fucking be the best in the league phase, be the best in the league phase, and then we fucking get given pretty much the best team in the Champions League. And now we’re not part of it.
“So and apparently, I’m seeing now that their goal was offside. So you just can’t write it really, can you? You can’t write it. Every single time we within any competition, everyone’s against us every single time. There’s facts right there. I’ve just had to look, and he was clearly offside. So fuck off.”

Liverpool manager Arne Slot speaking to Amazon Prime: “It was the best game of football where I was ever involved in. Incredible performance, especially compared to last week. First 20/25 minutes, we were all over them, created chance after chance and all of a sudden we were 1-0 down. Probably it was almost the opposite, maybe we ran out of luck because the margins were so small tonight.
“After 90 minutes it felt we deserved more than being 1-0 down. I was waiting for us to score. I don’t think the second half, apart from the last five minutes, when they threatened us once or twice. We played the perfect game except from scoring goals, it was the same for PSG last week when they played the perfect game and didn’t score and it happened to us today.
“It’s always difficult if you put so much effort in, for the first 25 minutes I’ve never seen them so aggressive and so intense as they were today, and then you look at the scoreboard and you’re 1-0 down, an unlucky goal as well. When you put in so much effort that’s sometimes difficult and in the end it comes down to penalties and we, as Dutch know how to lose [on penalties].
“It had everything you’d like to see from a football game. From a Liverpool perspective, you’d at least like to have a draw after 90 minutes but it came down to penalties.
“It feels unfair to go out at this round already, you’re at the top of the table then you face a team like PSG, but that’s also the nice part about football. Everybody around the world enjoyed watching this game and the margins are small, and if you want to win it you have to have some luck, we had it last week, I don’t think we had it today.
“Now its clear what we have to do for the rest of the season, one league cup final and nine Premier League games to go.”
Paris St-Germain boss Luis Enrique, speaking to Amazon Prime: “Both of the teams deserve to go to the next phase.
“They play better than us here, but I think my team at Anfield, in a special stadium showed great personality and character.
“We tried to play our best, but it was difficult as they’re so intense.
“Both teams deserve to qualify.
“The character and personality, even when we shoot at the penalty shootout they showed great character.
“I think it shows clearly the team we are.
“When the draw told us about the match against Liverpool and PSG. Both managers thought the same – one of the best matches you can watch in Europe. I think both teams were great.
“It is not about consistency you have to be great in specific moments. We suffered a lot in Paris, but football is in that way. Unfair at times. Today we were lucky, they hit the post a few times.
“Gigi [Gianluigi Donnarumma] was like Alisson in the first match.
“We are happy and confident to go to the next phase.”
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk speaking to Amazon Prime: “It was a very intense great game of football, I think to be part of it as well. It was totally there for Liverpool and what we showed in Paris and unfortunately were out on penalties and that is the reality.
“I think in the first half we created dangerous moments and they have the quality as well, and then it comes down to penalties.
“It’s part of football, I said to the guys, obviously, you can be disappointed because we’re out of the competition, but chin up and get ready for the next challenge, a beautiful one on the weekend.
“I think we were pretty good today as well, and you want to go as far as possible, but we knew when we drew PSG it was going to be very difficult. We saw in Paris when we struggled but we won, and today we saw a very good Liverpool side but we’re out of the competition.
“Today from the first second and then extra time, when fatigue kicks in for both sides, it becomes more open but especially regular time, we showed a very good game. We can speak about the game for ages but we’re out of the competition, that is the reality.”
Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson, speaking to Amazon Prime: “That’s the competition. You know, we got the win last week without playing our best.
“Can’t question the effort or endeavour and everything we put into the game.
“When it goes to penalties, its’s always a lottery.
“I can’t be any prouder of the players. It’s unfortunate that the effort wasn’t rewarded.
“Last week a lot was said about them not taking their chances and we didn’t take our chances [tonight].
“We couldn’t get back on level terms. We have got to look back on and there will be a lot of positives from this game, but a massive disappointment to not go through.
“Finishing top of the group and got the toughest tie of the whole Champions League.
“If they play to that level they should go far in the competition.
“It wasn’t meant to be and we need to dust ourselves down.
“We always bounce back, there’s a lot of tired legs in there. Cup finals, we enjoy them, and that’s the biggest game.”
Social media users gave their reaction to the Liverpool fan left reeling after watching PSG progress through in the Champions League…
@GarySmithJnr: Is he serious? 🤣🤦🏼♂️ They play most games with the ref as the 12th man.
@DeadStarLegacy: “Every time we’re in a competition everyone’s against us” – Yes. That’s the point of a competition!
@SteveBa99880334: Let’s forget about the 3 times VVD should have been sent off this season and the amount of penalties they’ve got this year then…
@gaycannibals: “Every single time we’re in a competition everyone’s against us” yeah it’s a competition??? I’m dead😭😭 also “got given psg” like it’s a conspiracy and not a random draw???
@Bluebailey55: Foreign refs don’t have the same script to follow as those in the Premier League. Strange that isn’t it ??
@JulieMCFC: I take it he’s not going to mention the fact that Konate shouldn’t have even played. Just admit it the best team went through over the two games for goodness sake.
@MrSoutherner: Absolutely shameless. They weren’t moaning when they got a very dubious penalty and Nunez didn’t get sent off at the weekend.
@Peterharri37687: Shut up soft lad 😂😂😂 I lost count how many have gone your way this season and laughing at your players for trying to get a penalty pathetic diving
@Dannyob91: Fucking worse than us for excuses 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Dont think PSG would have been thrilled getting Liverpool. But they have done a number on them proper team 👏
@SirTopiano: One loss and they act like the universe is rigged against them.
@SnapzzyArtist10: 1st of all the goal wasn’t offside and secondly if PSG are supposedly the best team in the champions league he said then Arsenal should win the competition as Arsenal already comfortably beat PSG 2-0 lol 🤣
