Hull fan was asked to stop texting during game or face ejection – club and EFL issue statement

After finding out that a Hull City supporter has claimed he was asked to stop texting or face ejection from their side’s game against Reading on Saturday, fans took to give their reaction…

@JJA_7Seven: This has to be someone winding you up.

@MH09501055: What a disgrace. I attend SJP & many away game. Fans are on there phones all the time. Online betting in play, checking the other scores, friends not at the game ask how’s the game going, text you mates where to meet after the game. Etc etc something should be done about this. ?

@drsajjadkahn: Coming from a club sponsored by a betting company, this is ridiculous.

@AnthonyB1985: Excellent work Agent Mawer. Your distraction of the stewards allowed Agent Batty to compile a full and uncompromised report for Don Bielsa, knowing the average length of grass is vital to our preparations. Good work sir, from all of us at @LUFC

@Ozzer89: You dont have to tell them what you are texting , they are not police or intelligence services with warrants. It’s none of their business.

@Tigersue66: We sit not that far from you, my mum was texting my dad in hospital, i was texting my friend who couldn’t get here because of the kings cross train problems, and we have been doing this for years. Noone said anything, and if they had, i think i would have laughed, unbelievable

@MartinWhitman1: I made a mint today, thanks for the tips, keep them coming. PS 2nd half was not so good ?
