We return to the weird world of Scottish football, this time, Ayr United’s Craig Moore was sent off for kicking Greenock Morton’s Gregor Buchanan in the groin during a goalless draw on Saturday.
Moore was bundled over, ending up on the floor after Buchanan tried kicking the ball ‘through’ his opponent during the Scottish Championship clash.
Ayr United’s forward then reacted angrily before flicking his leg back and towards the Morton player’s groin.
Seconds later, the referee came over, gave the striker a straight red, as he walks off the pitch he appears to have no complaints.
The referee then gave a yellow card to the defender for trying to kick the ball from under the footballer.

The video above went on to receive over 219,000 viewers, was liked 6,000 times and received 1,500 retweets.
After the game, Ayr United manager Ian McCall said: “We started the second half well and then Craig Moore was daft and let his team-mates down. But his team-mates rallied round and made sure it wasn’t too costly.”
The bizarre moment comes just two weeks after an Ayr United supporter was kicked out of his side’s clash at Falkirk and cheekily decided to climb a tree and watch the rest of the game there.
After spotting him, humorous Falkirk fans started chanting “Ayr’s top of the tree… Ayr’s top of the tree!” a joking reference to Ayr who sat top of the Scottish Championship.
After social media users watched Craig Moore getting sent off for kicking Greenock Morton’s Gregor Buchanan in the balls, some replied humorously, many however said that the referee should have sent the other player off as well – take a look at what they’re saying on the next page.
